I guess it depends on the mechanic. A reactive AC bonus when you know the result of an attack roll is different from a bonus action buff on your turn, for instance. I'm not objecting to them in concept, just expressing my feelings about them. ;) I wouldn't choose something like that very often, but I don't begrudge others the choice.

Sure. There's room for both cure wounds (inspiring word), shield of faith (command presence aura) , and cutting words (warning shout). You just need to pick which you want.

I gave up trying to crunch the numbers and gave them rallying cry that recharges on short rests.

Rallying Cry As a bonus action you can restore 1d8 (2d8 lvl 5, 3d8 lvl 11, 4d8 lvl 17) hit points to an ally within 30’. You may use this ability up to twice per short rest gaining another use of this ability at level 3,7, and 9.

They can use it 2/short rest and on multiple people at higher level. I tried to give them less healing than a dedicated cleric and it recharges on a short rest like the Healers Kit.

At level 17 you could use it 5 times per short rest healing 4d8 to 4 allies and it recharges on a short rest. So 18 points pf healing per ally per short rest gives it around 216 points of healing spread out by level 17. There are various ways to improve that.

Looks good I suppose but then you compareit to things like Aura of Vitality or Mass Heal or Haling Word and it doesn't seem to bad let alone compared to a life cleric.

I haven't voted, but I think 100% mitigation would be awesome--IF it could be made to work out mechanically. I realize that's a huge "if," but it's just so flavorful and would really make a warlord feel different from any other healer.

Here's where I'm at, currently.

Battlemaster is ok with the following changes:

Drop "Student of War" at level 3 to use Combat Superiority Dice as Bardic Inspiration dice, if you wish.

Drop "Know your enemy" at level 7 to use either Cutting Words or Combat Inspiration.

OR add those in as optional maneuvers.

I'll take the inspiring leader and healer feats, myself. I might even grab additional combat superiority dice via feat.

But doing this gives me enough mitigation & action granting so that I'm satisfied.

I'd still like forward observer & vanguard, but whatever.
