D&D 5E 5E Cheese

As the title says what in 5E do you find cheesy? This can be for any reason, mechanical, fluff, feel, vibe etc. I would like to nominate the Sun Soul Monk. It seems very Dragonball Z or Street Fighter II. I can almost hear the class say sonic boom or hadouken. Mechanically it looks half decent and all right its just a monk firing lazer beams seems a bit cheesy to me. I might actually play one to give my DM a headache as he is very fighting man, castles and crusades, knight in shining armour type.

Aarakocra could be another thing but my DM doesn't allow that race as a Sun Sould Aaracokra monk would probably be great mechanically. Its a combo so cheesy if it flunked a dex save vs fireball it might have to make a con save or turn into fondue.

Who is in awe of the sun and flys to close to it, his wings burn off and he plummets to his death?

Also the answer is always Katana, even if they aren't part of 5E yet, they are always cheese.

I don't think this thread is a great idea - it's already fairly antagonistic just by way of you picking out something that fits just fine into someone else's fantasy and play experience and declaring it "cheesy."

You wanna say something isn't for you, go right ahead. Stop short of implying anything of objective.

While I don't want anyone to throw rocks at anyone else's fantasy*, I don't think it's difficult to state, objectively and non-judgmentally, that some stories are cheesier than others.

There are exactly two DVD cases on my desk right now. They are The Middleman: The Complete Series and Flash Gordon: Saviour of the Universe Edition. I love them both to death. They are both total and comprehensive cheese.

*Unless they're into that.

Bards.

Yeah, I went there.*

Mechanically, the class rocks. And the subclasses are well-designed (both lore and valor). But a Bard is a primary spellcaster and one of the best classes? Say what?

Take your lute and shove it where the Sun Soul Monk don't shine.

There is nothing cheesier than some guy with an instrument. I produce the following evidence for the prosecution-

Yes, this is how a D&D Character (here, the famous Bluto the Barbarian) handles a Bard.

*Why not gnomes? They're not chessy. They're just ... little ankle-biting monstrosities that should be hunted for their hats.

Made me think of this

What do I find cheesy? The same three people making a new thread every couple days that is a variation of "Here's what I don't like about 5e."
