Francis reappeared and released his next spell. The farther yeti dropped to the snow (prone) and began howling and rolling around. It was strange, but near as the other could tell it was some strange form of laughter from the creature. However, despite the collapse into the snow and its uncontrollable fit, the effects only lasted a brief moment of a few seconds.

The battered yeti facing Yosephus and Charity was feeling the pain of being stuck with the rapier and it howled in frustration as it could not land another blow on either of the pesky foes. Its claws swiped and missed.

Correct, not helpless and retains Dexterity Bonus. But Prone is penalty enough if you don't roll a 1. ;)

Peeved by her ineffectiveness thus far, Aishe sets her feet firmly in the snow and takes a better grip on the hilts of kukri and dagger. The blade of her kukri slashes a long shallow cut along the Yeti's shoulder that just manages to penetrate the thick fur and leathery skin, and she punches the dagger at its chest... that blade, as well, scores a long shallow cut as it's partly deflected by the creature's hide.

Momentairly distracted by Francis' odd display, Cortesia's lay healer attempts to take advantage of the effect. With a quick flash of her blade, Charity thrusts the metal between the creatures ribs, precipitating a collapse of the already injured creature. Stepping back, snow kicks up as the creature falls. "That got 'im!" she exclaims, turning to face the second one as Aishe is making herself busy cutting it with deft strikes.

[sblock=actions]Standard action: normal rapier attack on Yeti 1. I wasn't sure if the Yeti was going to buy the Disappearing Act, so I made my rolls as if it hadn't. Lucky day, I hit again, for 7 points of damage on a normal strike. Joy.

Despite Francis's efforts, the blade of Charity still struck the yeti down... so perhaps the distraction was what helped the female warrior to strike home and fell the beastly creature.

The other one stoop up and ignored the openings it left to be stabbed on either side by the pesky humans. It managed to survive and regain its footing to take a swipe at the woman behind him. Aishe staggered from the clawed blow and her armor protected her from being tore up.

After a few minutes of rather deep contemplation he speaks to the group as they arise. "Morning friends! Still cold out eh? Hell of a night! I haven't slept that deeply in awhile..... felt like I was asleep for months!" Rings of smoke fly out of the deceased white dragons cave. "Shall we continue our ascent to the castle?
