D&D 5E 5e EPIC MONSTER UPDATES

Do you have a timeline/list of when some of the currently not posted epic threats will be put up? I know they're probably done in order of your interested in them, but I was hoping that maybe some of they fey will get to appear? They're a pretty neglected type of enemy in D&D imo, but I've got some players that want to run Archfey Warlocks, and I thought it'd be cool to have Titania and the Queen of Air and Darkness' stat blocks on hand for that campaign.

I don't have anything set in stone. I have somewhat of a plan to finish the first page (lesser, intermediate, and greater gods; dukes of hell), and then work on the 2nd page. I am, however, happy to bump something up on the list/timeline at a request. The one thing with the Fey lords is that I just don't know much about them. I decided to add them, but I have almost no information on them (well I do have quite a bit on the Cat Lord). The only issue I have with making Titania and the QoAaD is I don't have much information about them. If you have some info you could share (especially old stat blocks, but lore is really helpful too), that would make the process go much faster.

FYI, I am on a hiatus from posting updates to this thread for the rest of the month. So I wouldn't get anything completed until next month.

I have a few stat blocks and info pieces for a generic Archfey (a little low in HP, but some cool stuff) [https://brynvalk.wordpress.com/2015/06/09/monsters-of-dnd-the-archfey/], and another for the Erlkonig (Archfey for the Wild Hunt, I believe) [http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/BybX0CP9rl]. But to my knowledge, ‘canon’ stats for Archfey have never been published.

There’s also this person’s insight into the Archfey themselves [https://www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/comments/2ilbj6/5e_help_with_an_archfey/].

As far as lore goes, Titania originates from Shakespeare’s Midsummer’s Night Dream, titled ‘Queen of the Faeries’ and was wife to Oberron. She’s often linked to the Seelie fey, and affiliated with Courts like Summer and the like, and occasionally given the title of ‘Queen/Lady of Light and Illusion’ in contrast to the Queen of Air and Darkness.

Speaking of, the QoAaD is often linked to the Unseelie Court and (though less often Titania is linked to the Summer Court) the Court of Winter. Her true name has been lost to time, and she is depicted as an invisible being, or a mass of wind and shadow about a black diamond. I can’t say exactly where her title comes from, but I believe an early appearance was in A.E. Housman’s Last Poems. She is occasionally linked to Queen Mab (a brief mentioned entity from Romeo & Juliet). She and Titania are sometimes believed to be sisters.

FYI, the only link that worked for me was the last one on Reddit.

Yep, I am familiar with the general origin and lore you presented and I have the D&D wiki on the Seelie and Unseelie courts bookmarked in my resources folder. I was just hoping there was a better description of powers and abilities somewhere. I guess I will just have to start from scratch!

The reddit article was interesting, but not very D&D and a bit beyond the scope of what I am doing. I generally agree with the otherworldly nature, but I don't think of them as that far detached form the comings and goings of the Prime.

I'll see what I can do!

Hmm yes, that may be the case.

I talked to the head mod of https://www.reddit.com/r/UnearthedArcana subreddit that concentrates on DnD 5e homebrew.
He thought this sounded very interesting and thought you might get some help by posting over there directly (no redirection)

Hope you don't mind I did this.
I just discovered this stuff and wanted to get you some help from the community so that you can complete this great work.

Nemio,
I am thinking about posting my compilations over at the Redit forum per your suggestion. Can I post PDFs for download over there? If I can just update a PDF and manage the comments that would make it much more feasible.

I tried embedding them with enworld's url tool. Hopefully that worked? If not I can try something else?

Those might have ideas on abilities, but beyond that I know that the QoAaD's is mentioned in various poems having strong poisons at her disposal, and Titania's depiction in Shakespeare also might have some hints (beyond... sleep magic though?). Sorry, I wish I could be of more use than that.

I remember running* a 4E Dungeon adventure that ended with a showdown with a winter archfey.

Edit: Winter of the Witch by Stephen Radney-MacFarland feat. the Archfey Koladia.

*) Since this scenario is a typical 4E scenario in that it's mostly only a looong line of combat encounters, I should probably say I used select parts of the locations and NPCs given. Of course, my adventure was a 5E conversion of a D&D Next adventure, so I couldn't and didn't use the supplied statblocks. FWIW, Koladia is a level 26 Solo.

Thank you the links worked this time! These will be helpful.

Thanks CapnZapp! I didn't remember that one, I will have to check it out. I do have the 4e adventures with the Prince of Frost and Baba Yaga, two more ArchFey. I will to look them over and see if there are any useful trends.

Glad to hear it :)
I talked to the head mod.

Pointing to the PDF('s) and giving extra information in the post itself would be ok.
If the PDF would be located on google or dropbox it should be ok automatically.
They have the most common sites whitelisted.

If it's located elsewhere and/or if you have some extra questions it's best to contact the mod(s) beforehand.
They might need to manually approve your post in case their AutoModerator removes it automatically.
You can contact the head mod through https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=BornToDoStuf

Let me know how it works out.

I've long wanted to contribute to this thread, and my thought was to try Koliada. The Wayne Reynolds pic of her is just too cool not to.

Never got around to it though. It's intimidating. Dave, should you ever feel so inclined, I'd love a step by step example of just how you design a monster and how the various abilities affect CR.
(can't figure out how to use your spreadsheet.... :-S)
