No, but it's reasonable for people to take "your decision is wrong" as "you should make a different decision".

You should make a different decision is often good, reasonable advice, though, isn't it?

I remember everyone shouting just that a couple years ago when the Seahawks threw the ball instead of running it at the end of the last Superbowl they played in.

. . . Go Patriots!

I keep rolling persuasion checks behind my screen, but no matter how often I crit, I still can't convince you all you are doing it wrong. Must be something wrong with the edition.

It might just be something wrong with your addition. Math is a Power Gamer's best friend.

In 4E you'd just use your "win argument" daily power. It's martial power source and changes someone's mind, no save.

Hello everybody, realy nice make part of this community.
I have a doubt about my ranger character.
When Galahan(ranger 4º level) stay alone in wilderness, her normal pace is stealth but my DM ask to me a new check of stealth again when i have a new enconter with monster or others, is right?
I know that DM is a ruler but, i disagree, because i stay in stealth and i think that i don't need roll again.
Help me please.

Your ranger can sneak while moving at a normal pace while in her favored terrain, but that doesn't mean circumstances appropriate for sneaking are always present while in such terrain. Wilderness is a pretty broad terrain type and can contain circumstances both appropriate and in appropriate for sneaking. It's ultimately the DM's call whether such circumstances are present or not. If you are sneaking through an area of dense woods, for example, which I would deem an appropriate circumstance, and then pass through an open meadow where circumstances are not appropriate for sneaking, I would require a new Stealth roll if you wanted your ranger to continue sneaking upon reentering the dense woods on the other side of the meadow.

Assuming circumstances are appropriate for sneaking, a new check is not required to continue sneaking after an encounter unless your ranger does something during the encounter to give away her position or come out into the open. Likewise, if she is noticed by a creature, a new check would be required to sneak away from the same creature.

But as long as appropriate circumstances are continuously present, and you haven't revealed yourself or been noticed, then you are correct, and your original check result should stand.
