D&D 5E Xanathar's wizards.com page

They certainly are promoting it earlier than other books. I'm guessing they reigned in their work load and are sure this book will not be "non-cancelled".

Wow, people really do hold a grudge don't they? One supplement from what, three years ago, get's kinda sorta cancelled and people STILL are dragging this out? Maybe time to let it go.

But, anyway, cool, will be happy to see this. Major rules expansion and a collection of the UA articles. What will be very sweet is that I'll pick this up through Fantasy Grounds and it will be auto-inputted for all character generation and whatnot. Very sweet.

Wow. Sensitive much when people talk about WotC? I simply stated a fact to point out an apparent change in marketing strategy. Why get all defensive? You do not even work for WotC.

Sorry, but, after three years of watching people complain about one cancelled product and bring it up EVERY time WotC announces a new product, it gets very stale. I mean, holy crap, three years and what, six releases later and there hasn't been a repeat. But, every...single...time WotC announces a new product, you get the same bloody comments over and over again.

I think the reason why they promote it earlyer is becouse they had this event for the ennouncement of the tome of aniliation, and decoder tot anounce this a bit earlyer then usual tot rode along on any hype created by the event

That's nothing, Hussar! I love how we still rarely but occasionally get the poster who says they refuse to buy anything from WotC because they dared to suggest skipping past an encounter with the town guard to get to the "important" encounters beyond. That's only been, what, ten years or so ago? :)

I didn't complain. Attack those who do if you are that sensitive about it. I was making an observation about WotC's marketing. Using facts. You know, so that my observation wasn't out of the blue and was backed up. No need to get sensitive about that.

Tot?

Anyway, maybe. We'll see how they do their marketing after Xanathar's Guide to 80% Filler.

I'm still thinking they are more confident with their production.

They're just reminding me not to blow my entire remaining 2017 hobby budget at GenCon. :)

Yeah, the "scare quotes" around "non-cancelled". Not complaining at all. Completely innocent. Finger just happened to slip on the keyboard right?

I'm sorry you feel "attacked" but, hey, if you're going to drag up ancient history just like someone does EVERY SINGLE TIME WotC announces something, I'm not sure why you're surprised. Here's the actual facts - they didn't officially announce a product but, the existence of said product was leaked. They then stopped production of that product and released it as a free PDF to anyone who wanted it.

Bad WotC, bad, bad, bad. :uhoh:

Me, if that's what they're going to do every time a product gets shelved in the middle of production, I hope they stop production on more products. I can always use professional quality free stuff. C'mon WotC, "non-cancel" some more stuff. I want some freebies!!!

I use quotes. They are part of he English language. Useful when quoting or paraphrasing. Get over it.

if you're going to drag up ancient history
Two years is ancient nowadays? I blame the internet. Talking about empires and mentioning Rome I guess I would be dragging ancient history into the mix, would be a major faux pas and I would be chastize for it. No mentions of Rome when talking about empires! Lol. It is just using facts to back an opinion. I suggest you do the same. If Mearls as a problem with people using facts, he can talk to me and doesnt' need you to take his defense.
