Interesting. It would be possible to use a Glaive with polearm master, spell sniper and warcaster to tag someone far away!

Sadly that would not get together until high level without variant human or fighter feats...

Just FYI. If enemies can't see you (darkness), you don't provoke an OA. Thus, you can walk up, hit them, and walk back.

Also, booming blade is the go-to for OA's. Since the secondary damage triggers immediately. Probably better overall than green flameblade, though you can always take both, use them in the right situations.

Whew, old post. If you like this, I would highly recommend picking up Complete Warmage from our store. It's a much more balanced and well put together iteration of the class.
