:(

Again sorry... OF all the games this is the one that is the hardest to pull back from. I think I was just unhappy with how I set up Episode Two (post saving the planet you were on).

I have been thinking about how to maybe re-start it. Give me some time and maybe I can come up with something. I think I want to re-do the into to the second part as I am not happy at all on how I intro the Crime Lord or his minions or what they wanted/where really after. Partly also is why would you care after you destroyed the spice or whatever was really being smuggled, etc.

Ah, GreenKarl, it's ok. We had an amazing Chapter 1. You have to look after yourself first and foremost. Instead, you're probably beating yourself up because you can't understand why you have lost energy for what is normally fun... I've been there too. Recently actually... I've only just started working on the animating stuff again. I'm screaming at myself daily to try and just do something other than sit about. Don't stress too much yeah? Can we keep about this thread occasionally? I wouldn't mind continuing to leave stuff here...

This is just a walk cycle test.

I'll keep posting my updates here if that's ok?

I'm just theorizing here, but maybe it would be easier to shift the expected plot-line of the 2e adventure towards where it seems to be heading now rather than redo the begining "right"?

I'm saying this because- well. The Gand wasn't too hot about leaving aside his/her Infinity-Gate-undathomiring project, initially, but the plot as is has actually done a remarkably good job of giving him/her strong motivation to care: raising quick creds to buy that digging droid (to get to the Infinity Gate, of course. And can't raise money quickly on a backwater like Dathomir), and now burning curiosity about those (possible) artifacts in the assassin's mysterious hidden safe-houses. From there, PC's love to stick their fingers into the gears and get dragged along by vengeange and/or "justice" and/or taking over the bag guy's operation (to turn those ressources to *good*, of course!)!

I think the drag in the last bit occured mostly because of the hostage situation? Honestly, I haven't seen a single one of those turn out quite right in RP... I think it may be because it's a very visceral thing - seeing a 'gun' pointed at an innocent's face - and taking action against the hostage-taker means endangering not only the hostage(s) themselves but, almost by definition, also willfully putting the other PCs in harm's way?

We should probably have discussed it here and settled on a general strategy as a group (resist or go along) *before* diving into the IC?

I agree that the hostage situation made things difficult. Another aspect that I think added to stalling was that we may have had too much time between posts.

This has been fine for the majority of things, but regarding a hostage situation, pbp possibly gives us too much time to consider options. While it was happening, if I was more silent than normal, it was because I couldn't tackle my next post immediately. I'd sometimes half type up something and then delete my progress.

Maybe in a non-pbp game, we may have either problem solved faster (or as a group as Binder mentioned) or had more guidance.

Even now I don't know whether we did the right thing or should have maybe gone with the flow of what the bad guys wanted...

Hmm thats a good idea... I kind of in a round-about way was going to lead to another gate BUT it got lost in the Crime Lord stuff... maybe I need to give you clues of a second gate that will lead to the Crime Lord :) ok I am thinking again... thanks :D maybe, maybe

So first a check too see who is still interested in the Star Wars 5th ed. KOTOR game? Please sound off if you are still around and care ;)

Second I am going to somewhat reckon this AND somewhat not. Here is my idea.

The heroes have spent the last few weeks on Dathomir recovering from their ordeal at the Infinity Gate and also fixing up the Outlaw Gambit.

Garnell Fel, the Devaronian who came by asking about the Spice and the interacts with him still happened and someone snuck onto the Gambit to plant a bomb but you found it and defused it. Garnell and the rest did not attack you although Jor saw the others and could have described them too you. Jihahna still worked for Jericho Melstrum, the crime lord in this sector before (not for him directly but acted as a merc for a short time for one of his crews). His has a base on Axxila and Cathar. The spice (and whatever was inside of it) was for Gotan the Hutt, who has operations throughout the sector, but seems to have been a pay off for something on Axxila. She remembers that his has a reputation as having an extremely strong, if twisted, sense of honor. He wants whatever was in the spice delivered to Gotan and Garnell hinted strongly that he might well hire bounty hunters if the heroes did not give it up or make the delivery themselves.

This Gand had been studying his/her notes that s/he retained from the Infinity Gate and has just made a new breakthrough... the that Kwa did not just have one Infinity Gate!!! They built others on other worlds they had exploded and settled. Not as powerful as they one on Dathomir, but still they could be extremely important finds. This Gand believes that a partial record hint very strongly that there could be a gate buried deep under the world city on Axxila!!

The heroes will have to decide what to do with the items found in the spice AND the Jedi will all start having prophetic dreams of a horror in the depths of some great city AND in a swampy jungle of some doomed worlds!!!

Thoughts? What would motivate the heroes the most do you think??

Sounds good to me. I might want to rethink Jor's motivations just a smidge. I like the character, but I'm rethinking his backstory. I just feel he needs a little more personal motivation to do the things he does. Perhaps he left more due to a mistake than a simple disagreement. Maybe his dabbling in the Dark Side lead to an accident where another Jedi was killed. So now he is harboring guilt for what happened. As well as anger, resentment, etc., that he has been trying to deal with.
