Pathfinder 1E INTEREST/RECRUIT - TIDERULER - THE FALL OF LAHOLT (HIGH-LEVEL CHARS)

A slayer can trapfind with the appropriate talent selection.

And a summoner can just use summons to trapfind. :)

Option overload here though, dangit. A consequence of these stat rolls is that even MAD characters like monks can actually work...hard to decide what to go with.

So we have:

Super strong kobold fighter.
Psionic thrallherd
Wizard or maybe arcanist who also has social skills

Hmm. We could use some healing too, by the look of it. Healing, scouting, trapfinding...someone who can switch hit between melee and ranged combat maybe.

That's a lot of hats for one character. I shall see what I can do.

Oh, don’t forget my Thrall. I haven’t even started on him. Or her. And they can be any race or class, and are only one level below me. So if what we need is a super spy with healing powers...

That's an important question for your guys: would you prefer to have your thralls act in the adventures with you, or stay in the background? n my mind I have a set of pros/cons for each, really.

My Thrall is the main class feature of the Thrallherd. I only get one. I personally plan to use him as a companion to make up for my lack of combat utility, because I only have so much of that.

The Believers really bog things down, so they will be around, but will be working for me, building my wealth, taking care of my estate, spreading my influence, etc. I don’t need them to even be stated except for the more powerful ones.

But the Thrall is basically an extension of me, same as the Cohort from the Leadership Feat, only better. And what’s better, he gains experience on his own, he doesn’t take an equal share of the party’s xp.

The main question is, do I stat him out and control him, or does the DM?

Okay, I think my character is ready.

Daxio Flynn, Arcanist

Not a lot of damaging spells, I know, but a lot of control and great social skills and magic interrupts. I'm open to suggestions. I've only played a druid this high (though my paladin is getting up there).

The Thrall could be a good plug for a party hole, like if we need a healer or trapfinder or whatever. Also note that I have UMD, so I can get off cure wands and the like if necessary.

I would say play the Thrall yourself. He's basically like an animal companion.

tglassy, do the stats for him and go as far as you want to. I'll interpret him like an NPC (so you don't get overwhelmed), but if you put him in the party you get to control his actions as if he was your character. How about it?

I like it. And I’ve run two characters in one game before. Heck, I’m currently running four characters in one game, though they’re usually split up into separate teams.

Cool! It'll be a breeze, then!

Reminds me of the first time I played D&D. Anyone knows the name of the adventure in the first starter box? I can't remember for the life of me.
Characters began imprisoned, I remember...
