Pathfinder 1E INTEREST/RECRUIT - TIDERULER - THE FALL OF LAHOLT (HIGH-LEVEL CHARS)

Oh, don’t forget my Thrall. I haven’t even started on him. Or her. And they can be any race or class, and are only one level below me. So if what we need is a super spy with healing powers...

This sounds like trapfinding alchemist :)
At worst, I can take AC hit and replace defender of the society trait and take one that grants trapfinding (high dex, good enough int thanks to high stats)
Or I can take item mastery and be "healer" :)

What do you think about these combinations
DEX version
STR 11 DEX 30 CON 19 INT 15 WIS 18 CHA 17
(includes items and level bonus)

This one has more HP, less carrying capacity, higher AC, init and damage
Attack routine
3x +26 / 1d10+16 +1 +2d6 holy vs evil
3x +21 / 1d10 +11 +1 + 2d6 holy vs evil

OR
STR
STR 24 DEX 22 CON 16 INT 15 WIS 18 CHA 15
(includes items and level bonus)
This one has lower HP, AC, init, but save a feat (weapon finesse), enchantment (agile) and does not depend on magic to do his things
Attack routine
3x +22 / 1d10+13 +1 +2d6 holy vs evil
3x +17 / 1d10 +9 +1 + 2d6 holy vs evil

If the rest of you will optimize, I have to do it too and I will take the first version --> but this is thematic, rather than optimized character (5 feats to cover the story)
Archon Basileus, questions:
- how do we generate HP?
- how would people accept dragon (even this small one) when they are unknown for centuries? Remember that I always include proper story and include demons and very old history :)

So far, I’m leaning towards a sneaky assassin type for the Thrall, but I haven’t made up my mind. Either an actual Assassin or an Arcane Trickster, or some mix. I’ll wait until everyone else’s PCs are done before I choose. I just need to pick a Feat or two. I’ve already got the one that gives me permanent mind link with my Thrall.

@Neurotic - I guess we can use the regular rule. Full die for the first level, then the average for all others, plus bonuses for each level. Multiclass rules apply for those who choose to go this way. we can also go full dice (you know I prefer to use full dice, since it gives me a safety range to work with). EDIT: as for your draconian 'inclinations', lol.... That pretty much depends. Consider that all that is happening to Maran is simultaneous to the happenstances in Laholt. That being said, a dragon ressurgence makes a lot of sense. Many still worship the dragons around the continent, so odds are that a dragon-like creature or small dragon would be considered a sign of blessing, even among those who do not share saurian blood. Also, the most fanatic members of religious orthodox movements - such as the Ministry Church - might dislike him, finding him to be the herald of doom or something like it, hehehe.

@tglassy - No problem, man! Take your time!

Oh, I also updated the lore file for the game. No need to read it, but for those who want to take a peek, it has two pages on the provinces and Ministry religion. Nothing major, and as usual it can be changed, according to your needs and preferences! (@Neurotic, I'm well aware of your taste for elaborate backgrounds, so feel free to change the world as you see fit!)

A bit of party background...do we start out already part of an experienced adventuring party, or are we meeting for the first time?

We...or at least nonsaurians should be known at least individually if not as a group.

I'd prefer the group since that saves me 'kill the dragon' moment

I’m looking at my Thrallherd as very anti-evil creatures. His ability to attract thralls and believers looks for people who have had run ins with vampires, demons and the like, and he trains them to fight them. Mostly, they act as his eyes and ears, infiltrating every area of society and sending him information on any evil supernatural beings they find. He is their guild leader, their hero, and he works in the shadows, unknown to most.

In this way, he is not brainwashing anyone, he is connecting with those who would be inclined to see his point of view.

His Thrall is going to likely be a Slayer, perhaps adding in Assassin or Arcane Trickster levels. She’ll have Trapfinding, and My Thrallherd will have raised her from childhood. The Thrallherd has been doing this for centuries, and she isn’t the first he’s taken in.
