D&D 5E What would be a fun 2 pc group?

Regardless of class I think you guys might like to be a odd job duo so you can change the theme/focus of the jobs you do i.e. you could be detectives one week and pest control (that goes wrong fast with ankhegs) the next

It's poor reading comprehension on my part.

I read "we can rage only once per day without suffering a level of exhaustion" and thought, Rage doesn't cause exhaustion. Frenzy does. So this would need another change to Rage to make it cause exhaustion.

On my second reading I understood much better.

So I have decided I am going to be a Barbarian 1/ Tempest Cleric 4 to start. He will be Barbarian 1/Paladin 4. He is not sure which Oath yet, but he's leaning toward Devotion or Ancients at the moment. Both Goliaths. Both CG. Both unarmored but with shields. Not quite sure on backgrounds. We're trying to figure out how we could be from the same tribe but have different backgrounds to not have so much overlap.
My stats will be 14, 16, 16, 8, 16, 10 and his will be 18, 14, 14, 10, 8, 16 after the array we agreed on + the level 5 ASI.


Any good ideas on which Oath would fit best for him? Backgrounds for us? Some fun ideas to throw at these characters?
