is it possible to add the blood hunter in the sheet?

That class is not WOTC official so no, it will not be added to this generator. Furthermore, it is a new class so it's can't be added via the custom page (though you may be able to get close if you try.) Just because the class is made by a well-known person like Mercer and is on D&DB does not make it official.

I've been playing D&D for more than 30 years. I made my first CS on a computer back in 1985 on an Atari ST. It was a joke compared to FA's CS, but it was OK.

I've played with better CS spreadsheets than FA's, but not for 5e. I had a friend that made one for 3.5 and then Pathfinder. They were definitely superior to FA's. He's since retired from designing CS's due to family obligations. Darn shame!

The reason I mention the above is that I have many years of experience with D&D and computer versions of CS.

So I think I can say with some small measure of authority that the D&D Beyond CS doesn't "suck". Some of the people here may not like it, but it's more than adequate for about 95% of people who play D&D 5E. In many ways it is superior to any spreadsheet based CS. And in most ways it's more user friendly and easier to access since it doesn't require a spreadsheet program.

As an aside, I think the D&D Beyond CS (and its supporting structure) might be much better for all the people who keep asking someone (who?) to send them the latest version of FA's CS to their email address. These people won't even take the time go back a few pages and find the instructions on how to acquire it! How will they find the time to actually work out how FA's CS functions properly? Jeepers!

One more thing. I LOVE FA's CS. I started using it back in version 1.51, maybe even an earlier version. I do have a CS from Nov 2015 that's 1.51 still in our communal DropBox D&D folder.

Bug report, v2.28 BETA 6 RC

Some or all of these may have been fixed already in a new build, and I am certain that some (or all have been reported already), but these are things that I have been noticing.

* Warlock's Invocation Devil's Sight: says 150ft when it should be 120ft
* Hexblade's have proficiency with all martial weapons, but generator shows 'not proficient'.
* A blank character is showing space for 2 cantrips, instead of none, and the first one is "Select…".
* Many creatures attack bonuses are incorrect.
* If not using variant encumbrace, encumbrance is not tracked at all.
* If a weapon's ability mod is less than 0, the weapon does not recognize that. For example, a dagger with a dexterity and strength of 8 (-1) shows 1d4 instead of 1d4-1. Same for attack bonus.
* A number of class feature selections, such as for Battlemaster's maneuver's, show 0 instead of a description of the maneuver.

* when select a fighting style (defense, in this case), Other Armor shows an unrelated Feat instead. The boost to AC (in this case) is applied on CSI.

It's not a matter of whether D&D Beyond is good or not, it's that by default you can only use SRD content with that CS. Many of us already own physical copies of the books and are unwilling to repurchase them in digital format just to use the content we've already paid for, on an exclusive website that may not be around forever, and is only available while connected to the internet.

My post was in response to Stormrider73 saying "And theirs still sucks." referring to D&D Beyond. Such a blanket statement deserves a response saying that it doesn't suck and why.

This may be a forum for FA's CS, but since FA is no longer apparently officially participating in the development of the CS, perhaps some people would appreciate alternatives.

I can certainly appreciate that D&D Beyond doesn't appeal to many of those who already paid for physical copies of their D&D 5E material. I'm also not trying to start a(nother) discussion of the relative merits of any particular CS. That has been discussed many times ad nauseum, and not just here.

But when I see statements saying another very viable alternative "sucks", then I take issue with that and will try to clarify.

One other point that may be made is: FA's CS is fully usable only with Excel 2013 or later (or is it 2010?). That's an expensive program to buy/"rent". Add in the cost of buying physical copies of Xanthar and whatever comes next. It seems to me that judicious purchases of partial content from D&D Beyond (to add to the free SRD content) will let you create any character you want for a very low price.

There may be groups of people that don't have (or can't access) the internet, but I suspect they are becoming fewer and fewer. Somehow, many people who complain about not having access to the internet to use D&D Beyond find a way to express their discomfiture with that situation here on the internet. Ironic?

One last point: it is true that D&D Beyond may not last. It's made it to almost one year old and has made very good progress in presenting and making characters. It's likely to be around for the next few years. At least until the next version of D&D.

I know Forged Anvil is now a thing of the past but I was wonder if it would be possible to publish a blank fill able FA charter sheet (blue bars) with no content. I prefer the layout and the design of this FA sheet over everything else I have seen so far.
