Revised (Slightly) Character Advancement Table

Well, my table has the first few levels take slightly longer. Yes, those levels can be "deadly", but they flew by SO fast in my game that we hardly noticed. Then, later on, my table lets players get to the mid and higher levels slightly faster, which I think players would enjoy.

So, yes, to answer your question, my table would be more fun to play with IMO -- which is why I am going to use it from now on. :)

Well have fun.

To the rest of us what you have proposed is to minor a change to matter.

LOL!

Don't TEMPT ME, Beowülf! I dare not use it. Not even to make things smoother. Understand, Beowülf, I would use the Fibonacci sequence from a desire to make a good Character Advancement Table. But through me, it would wield make a Table to great and terrible to imagine.

But you could overthrow Mike Mearles and set yourself up as the new, all-seeing, Lord of the Rules.

You would be benign, I'm sure.

Well have fun.

Then why do you bother to reply??? If you don't agree with it, you don't have to comment unless you feel it would unbalance/break the game, since that was my original concern. The simple fact is, if my revised chart was the original chart, I doubt many people would argue against it. But since what you have known for a few years now is another chart, you want to stick with it. That's cool. I've just started, and the chart bothered me enough to warrant a change, which after discussion with one of my players today, he is in agreement.

Have fun with your on character advancement method, whichever you choose. :)

In the OP you ask for thoughts. I share some and then you get mad and give me down the road for sharing my thoughts. Seriously?

Well, yeah, let's take a look at your thoughts that you shared:

"Is a smoother leveling XP table actually more fun? If not why bother?"

and

"Well have fun.

Since my OP was "I think it will work rather well and not be enough of a change to break anything, but I was curious as to others thoughts. If you have any on this, please share and thanks."

How do your comments reflect on my change breaking anything? Your comments were not relevant to my changes having any affects on the game, and then you suggest that my change was "so minor as not to matter" and "why bother?" Basically, you belittled my suggestion and added nothing to the conversation, so no, I don't value such thoughts. And then you get upset with me for being defensive after your comments? Yeah, seriously.

If that was your intent it wasn’t clear in your OP. To answer your question, Obviously your change isn’t big enough of a change to break anything.

And yet it will likely save the lives of several mid and higher level characters. Oh, the sacrifice the few will make for the many! :)
