And do you get to keep that content if WOTC stop supporting Beyond?

Not if Beyond just disappears. That's one reason I kind of like Hero Lab classic, but even that could be an illusion since it depends on the application talking to authentication servers to check your key in some circumstances. Those companies are technically capable of supporting a nice transition into non-existence for their customers, but the way of business doesn't guarantee they'll have the foresight, time, and resources to do that.

In the present situation where there are both online and physical resources, you're likely to be able to go to Amazon or eBay to acquire heavily discounted used books. I see D&D 4e on Amazon for $5.

While still illegal, collapsing support situation might also be a case where a person feels justified in snagging pirated PDFs as well.

My gaming group might try it, but at the moment we already have too many campaigns (so some are put on hold, sometimes indefinetly). I mean right now we are playing Starfinder, Scion 2nd ed, and we just played some Legend of the Five rings 5e, some D&D 5e, Star Wars (as a group of jedi wannabees after order 66, but before A New Hope), Mage: the Awakening 2e, and we had a campaign were we played in the Drakar och Demoner: Trudvagn-setting (and used the rules from GURPS 4e). That did not work very well. I also ran a campaign in Daring Comics.

All but the Starfinder and Scion-campaigns are on hold now.

I think a lot of people are not aware of all the one-off adventures WOTC has published on DMs Guild. A huge number of 4 hour adventures, which are good, and inexpensive, and which you can run independent of a larger campaign or as part of a larger campaign. WOTC puts them out to support Adventurers League, but I think they're missing the boat by not advertising them to the general population better. They are, essentially, Dungeon magazine continued.

I actually did not know about that. I don't go on DMG much, but I've bought a couple excellent supplements on there time to time.

Doesn't matter if.

1. People don't know they exist.
2. They don't sit in your book case or can be held in the hand.
3. You don't see them in the shelf at the FLGS.

I've never bought one and I'm well aware they exist.

But I use the old Dungeons, older edition material and 3pp adventures so I'm never really short of adventures to run.

#1 is the point I made, " but I think they're missing the boat by not advertising them to the general population better. "

#2 and #3 have not really proven to be all that crucial anymore. Lots and lots of adventures are digitally distributed these days, and often printed out by the end user. Digital maps are so popular they are sold directly by artists as a side gig.

I think the real flaw is nobody knows about them, which is #1.

Point 3 isn't relevant anymore as there aren't the number of FLGS there used to be; people buy online in the main.

I buy quite a few POD classic D&D material on DMs Guild and I make a point of telling people about the Guild whenever possible.

Do your bit, spread the word - in person and online.
