Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Cleric, Druid, Wizard Options

In another new Unearthed Arcana (these things are coming out fast right now!) the cleric receives a new Divine Domain option: the Twilight Domain; the druid gains a new Druid Circle option: the Circle of Wildfire; and the wizard gains a new Arcane Tradition feature: Onomancy, the magic of true names.

Onomancer? Why don't they just call the True Namer since it's clearly that class from the 3e Tome of Magic. I almost got the Onomancer subclass mixed up with Oneiromancer (aka Dream Wizard which they should also make a subclass). The presence of such a Wizard means a lot of people are going to be using aliases, and "craft names" or whatever.

The Wildfire Druid, yes I think more Druids should have more "use wildshape to summon something". Though it sort of reminds me of the Artillerist Artificer in how it has a minion that can shoot things.

Twlight Cleric, I like how it can fly but only in the darkness. Though I guess it's more like jumping really far and maybe dancing in the air because it's only for 1 round.

Okay, a blowing shtuff up druid, just what I always wanted!

The level 14 ability seems a bit woolly though, since it doesn't have a mechanism for enemies to touch the flames and take damage, and I can see arguments over if a monster leave a body behind or not when it dies.

Seems like a stretch to me. Wildfire Druid seems R or RG. Onomancy is as U as it gets, maybe UW.

Yeah, that was a bit of a hot-take about the Twilight Cleric. On further examination, if we go with the Magic theory, I'd say Blue or Blue-Black for the Onomancer. And yeah, super Red for the Druid:

Still reading through. Twilight Domain is fantastic. Perhaps too good. Great spells, heavy armor and martial weapons, and nice features. I feel it may be a bit above the other cleric domains, and is probably well above for a 1 level dip via multiclassing. But not enough to be broken, just very good.

Hey, question about their CD. It says the area is filled with Dim light. The way I'm reading that is thematically - it's dim light in there baring other magic, regardless if it's bright light or darkness elsewhere. In other words it brightens darkness and dims bright light. Which is very on-point for a Twilight domain. Is that your read as well?

TWILIGHT DOMAIN
AKA how to make your fellow players not hate the darkness spell. Also how to be able to float around at nighttime.

Not sure I care for the 17th level feature.

CIRCLE OF WILDFIRE
Druids with Fireball!

Wildfire Spirit. As if the guy playing the Druid isn’t doing enough paperwork managing his PC class already . . .

ONOMANCY
Quantum Entanglement + Oath of Vengeance for Wizards. Also, someone at WOTC has been rereading the Earthsea novels.

Resonants. Do not like Dissolution or Nullification. Dissolution especially.

Relentless Naming shouldn’t do force damage in my opinion.
