Dice! Dice, dice, and more dice, please!

Folks have had dice conversations all the time, but I think there's some value to having a periodic refresh of information, especially with a lot of artisanal dice makers popping up...

I'm in a new D&D campaign. The holidays are coming up. Cool dice can be great gifts!

So... give me your favorite dice suppliers and styles!

I have a set of Shadowrun dice that I made by colouring in the pips on the 2, 3, 4 faces with a matching colour sharpie - makes it much easier to count hits & glitches. I haven't seen dice like these for sale so they'd make a good gift if you know someone who plays Shadowrun. (There are official Shadowrun dice with different patterns on the faces but they don't look particularly easy to read & count.)

Whatever dice I have, I replace any tetrahedral d4s with the 12-sided ones. Easier and more consistent to read, plus if I drop them on the floor, I'm no longer walking on caltrops.

I replaced my d4 with something that looks more like a d6 with two of the sides rounded over to make only 4 sides to land on. They were more expensive than I thought they should be but I was able to add more dots to the d2 to make more d4s since they sold them in a set.
