Oh yes, because using orcs as a stand-in for the nebulous, faceless, subhuman hordes that are threatening to tear down the foundations of civilizations of the "good peoples" is oh so original. It's never them minding their own business while the "good peoples" with their industry and their manifest destiny can't leave well enough alone; nope, gotta get'em rapacious hordes! It's not like that stereotype wasn't born out of hateful assumptions about the real world, is it?
Yeah, its fine. I'm using orcs as orcs not orcs as Mongols. In this fantasy game setting Mongols wouldn't exist. If people want to be offended about that, that's fine but they can't expect me to care too much about them.

At first i couldnt tell if you were joking or having a melt down. Orcs are not humans. Humans are not orcs. Orcs also arent the same one edition to another. Orcs in some editions are quite monstrous and quite evil.

You might as well call mindflayers misunderstood and wrongfully victimized hair dressers.

Calm down.

If you absolutely must have nomadic raiders on horseback that take what they want and DGAF, elves are so much more aesthetic.

Personally I will play and run a variety of settings, the default expectatiin is roughly the phb sans Tieflings, Dragonborn and Drow.

Even then I'm not opposed to them existing they are just on the bottom of the heap for being cut in Homebrew.

I'm not exactly a purist either when it comes to old settings. I'm not opposed to adding things as long as they are not shoehorned in or don't fit.

For some settings such as FR anything goes even if your PC is from lands unknown. Shoehorning something in like dropping huge nation's if Dragonborn in a'la 4E.

Some races don't exist in some settings eg Orcs on Krynn. Other races shouldn't be allowed based on the setting. No fire Genasi on a water world or Warforged in Darksun. Warforged can be made out if other materials but they get around the environmental hazards and magic is hard theme of the setting.

And just because something exists doesn't mean players should have access to it. Drow are a prime example.

So say you're playing Greyhawk. GH is a bit more humanocentric but it's also a bit more sandbox than a few setting such as Dragonlance. Similar thing with Ravenloft.
Anything that's not a human or one of the AD&D races is restricted to a single party member.

This could also apply to Darksun. Athas has mutants so rather than shoehorn in Dragonborn make a Dragonborn mutant. If Dray exist they can be a Dragonborn variant with different abilities from the PHB. A mutant can also have the Dray stats but has no connection to the Dray which are a hidden evil type thing.

Other races can also be added if they fit the setting. Yuant Ti and Genasi make sense in Darksun for example. Just don't shoehorn in major nation's.

Generally less is more IMHO., for each phb race cut replace it with something else. Exceptions are settings like Eberron, FR, Spelljammer which lean towards anything goes.
Depends which version of the realms you play, and so it’s not always anything goes.

Btw. They lose hard on aesthetics which possibky matters less than everything else. I dont really know because i didnt even bother thinking about it before saying this due to how OVERWHELMINGLY SURE i am that its at least not what matters most lol.

It's probably a good idea to substantiate your opinions of you're going to criticize @PsyzhranV2 for the same thing as what you just posted; an opinion

How someone LOOKS doesnt make them evil. Or typically a marauder. Or any of the things that the other person in this conversation is complaining about orcs being associated with.
Yes that's their exact point, and mine as well. Not to be rude, but do you happen to speak English as a secondary language? That was the point of their post, I believe.

Oh, wait! You're talking about them saying that Elves are aesthetically better as marauders, in which case I agree with you.

Basically it seems like they are going down the "das wacist" rabbit hole and then popping back up the other side and saying "elves would work better though" and giving their only reason to be how they look. Really? Really. Ok.

Not to mention orcs are literally racially and culturally evil and culturally they are nomadic murder hobos and marauders. And racially are incredibly violent. That one is also culture.
