I'm curious, has anyone played a Rune Knight?

Some of the abilities seem a little OP, especially if combined with a ranged weapon.
I've played a Rune Knight and Ashley Johnson has played a Rune Knight. It was rediculously fun and inspired tons of builds in my mind. One of the only times I have ever wanted to play a fighter instead of a caster.

I'm not saying it's balanced, but wow is it fun.

Hate is a strong word. There are many of these that I probably wouldn’t include in my games, but I don’t hate any of them.
Agreed.
I thought about that, but it wasn't possible to validate input with a "none" option. So "none" = no response.

Y'know, given that, and the fact the new forum lets you go back and un-vote, I'd encourage everyone to un-vote.

Seriously, we don't need any more hate. Not even for Psion-is-a-Wizard.

None.
Because our games rarely use UA stuff. Most of the group doesn't even know (or care) that UA exists.
Thus I pay it only nominal, passing attention.
Certainly not enough attention to determine if I hate any of them.

UA is so easy to ignore if you don’t like something, anyone who legit hates anything in UA has some serious perspective issues. Not everything has to be catered to you (general you).

Unless it's a psion or warlord—then you have to have several threads just to justify them to people that blindly hate them and that still isn't good enough.

Revived is great concept/flavorwise, but strange as a rogue unless it was a video game MC. Then the current life as a rogue makes sense.

I still feel Soulknife is better off as a Monk path with the Psi-Blades being allowed as a Monk weapon choice for that subclass only. Just like how the arms in Way of The Astral Self should be allowed to be classified as Monk Weapons as well.

Heck, UA is all-too-easy to ignore, even when it presents something you like.

Not everything has to be catered to you (general you).
Reasonably, we should all be able to get what we want from D&D - we just need to refrain from begrudging others what they want....

...or all we'll get is lowest-common-denominator.

So out of curiosity what’s wrong with Onomancy?

I don't know about others, but I have two issues with it. One is that the True Name mechanic is messy and rife with subjective calls. The other is that it's another attempt to give metamagic type boosting effects to the Wizard when the class is already strong without it. The last attempt, the Loremaster, was rather overpowered and a lot of us are wary of going down that road again.

Add me to the list of folks who feel the lack of a "none" option along with the hyperbolic wording of the question makes this all seem a bit... off.

I don't hate any of these. I'm not sure I'd even say I dislike any of them. Certainly, I like some more than others, but I'm not sure during any of the surveys I ranked anything lower than a "slightly dissatisfied".

I wouldn't say I'm easy to please either, it's just that in the context of D&D I don't feel the need to hate on things too much just because I don't like them. I give my honest feedback in the surveys and let the chips fall where they may. If something I don't like gets published I'm not forced to buy it or use it. No skin off my nose.

Anyway, I've said my piece... back to the hate.

I voted all. But I don’t do hate, hate is the path to the dark side.

A large part of my opinion is because of their names. They are an affront, so pompous sounding that they should always lose initiative and have disadvantage on all saves.

Thematically they fill no void, no niche that can justify their existence. I hope to forget about them all soon. So completely do I hope to forget about them..... What was I talking about again?
