I mean, Dwarves are the best race. I'm just sad that Gnomes didn't last long enough to torment lowkey longer.

Vanilla is the best ice cream flavor; it's so good they sell it everywhere and put it in everything. You won't find black walnut or banoffee ripple in every ice cream shop no matter how much you love them, but you will always find vanilla.

Likewise: Dwelfmans* are the best race; they're so good they put them in everything. You won't find dragonborn or tieflings in every D&D campaign setting, book, or movie no matter how much you love them. But you're gonna find dwelfmans every time.

My Dwarf characters - no matter what setting they will be played in - are named by looking at a small-scale atlas of Scandinavia, seeking a village name that tickles my fancy.
