Well, it's not actually a particularly deadly virus, so "living in fear" isn't sensible. But even if it only kills 2% of the people infected, that is still 140,000,000 people if containment fails before a vaccine is developed.

But given the nature of transmission I suspect containment may already be a lost cause.

COVID 19 has now appeared in Italy; Iran; Israel and is spreading dangerously out of control in South Korea. The World Health Organisation is saying the window of opportunity to contain the virus is nearly shut. In China, authorities are reporting one man had an incubation period of almost 4 weeks - he had been infected for 26 days before showing symptoms. A woman infected 5 members of her family without showing any symptoms; she has the virus but still doesn't have any symptoms; her family members all have viral pneumonia.

We know very little about this virus - assumptions made are proving wrong - and disruption to Pax East will be the least of our problems.

Enough with the doom and gloom though - I just hope I live long enough to actually see Baldur's Gate 3 released!

I think Baldur's Gate 3 character creation is going to be more ambitious then people realize. I think it's going to have most of the character options in 5e. I could be wrong, but I think I'm right. We will find out this coming Thursday!

I think Baldur's Gate 3 character creation is going to be more ambitious then people realize. I think it's going to have most of the character options in 5e. I could be wrong, but I think I'm right. We will find out this coming Thursday!

I doubt we will find out what the final roster will be, I doubt they know yet - it's more important to have a few character options working well at this stage in development, so the actual gameplay can be thoroughly tested. Additional character options can be added later in the development cycle and via DLC.

At this stage of development, they've been working this since like 2017 at least. At the very least they know by now what is planned for being in it.
