I want the Star Trek replicator. First, getting a good cup of hot Earl Grey on demand is very civilized. Second, I want to able to say Computer, I want a set of 5E Social Interaction rules that use reputation, factions, and influence; uses flashback and montage mechanics; and that ties firmly into an expanded downtime system. That's not too much to ask, is it?

I think point you could just go to the holodeck instead.

I'd be in favour of something like that: Instead of a core PHB, have a core PHB for each setting they're doing. Either that or a essentials style PHB for the core with just elf, dwarf, human, halfling and a few major classes (Cleric, Fighter, Mage, Thief, maybe Druid), and then setting-specific PHBs for Forgotten Realms (that could have Strongheart Halflings, Tieflings, Sorcerers etc in it), one for Greyhawk, Eberron, etc. GMs that wanted to could say they're accepting races, classes, and subclasses from any book for their campaign, or limit it to a particular one or two. A Dark Sun one with psionics and psionic-related (sub)classes, the Dark Sun races and specific classes, etc, that sort of thing. It could encourage new settings that aren't just the same with sightly different geography, like now - you want a camelid race, some weird winged elves, angels, flesh golems, then go to town, with no monks, dragonborn, etc in there just because you feel like you have to add them because they're in the PHB.

That sounds like a good plan as well. So long as they don't have us wait a year before they had to that simplified core I'd be fine.

SUDDENLY THE USS ENWORLD PLUNGES into Warp 13. Redshirts died even before they get their shirts as the holodeck starts spawning orcs, kobolds, and blue haired aunties. All who wearing smoking jackets and carrying uzis. :)

Don't mess with the Agony Aunts. You're +1 armor won't save you from Eventually Assured Destruction.

Ok, My dream. Adventure path book with AL modules. Setting book non-al. Second year same. Third year. Adventure path book and one either region for FR, MM, etc. So it would be not to 2024 before I would have buy an additional Hard cover with is not a campaign.

Dream release schedule: You'd have to start with The Endless, because it's about Morpheous and you'll want Death, Destiny, Destruction, Desire, Despair, and Delirium/Delight. Then I'd move on to Dreams and nightmares, like Cain and Abel, Corinthian, Eve, Fiddler's Green, Gate Keepers, Gregory, Goldie, Lucien, Matthew, and Mervyn Pumpkinhead. Then I'd do a book on Gods and Demi-gods, followed by Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils, then the Fair Folk, and finally Immortals, witches and magical humans.

I want them to redo Sword Coast Adventure Guide, and actually do it right this time. Put the Waterdeep Enchiridion and Baldur's Gate Gazetteer in the book, along with very detailed explanations of all of the other main cities.
