D&D 5E Time for Non Forgotten Realms Adventure Paths?

I think Baldur'sGate is actually harder to replace than many of the other cities from the APs. Not because of Baldur's Gate itself, but because of Elturel. You need that city and especially the Companion. The Companion is the reason I'm not using Neverwinter and Helm's Hold, which would have been perfect for my campaign. But, the locations are already established in my campaign, and there is no shining sphere over Helm's Hold :(

My own opinion is outside the "anglosphere" FR is most popular thanks the videogames "Baldur's Gate", "Newerwinter Nights" and maybe Drizzt D'ourdent novels.

Dragonlance could be very popular again, but it needs the right media production, and neither Hasbro nor Paramount Pictures dare to risk yet until they have enough experience. Maybe a CGI animation should be the best option, with a good look to can sell the toys.

how about an adventure set in Eberron, or a brand new setting, or even a setting neutral option?
There are tons of them on the DM's guild, and some are published or at least given a seal of approval by WotC. Some of them even have PoD options, if you prefer physical books.

This feels like a "we have McDonald's at home" sort of reply.
Well, I'm fishing for which part of the equation is most important to you.

Endorsed by WotC?

Directly published by WotC?

Hardback book?

And what makes those things important?

(PS: For what it's worth, I think they're moving more and more toward opening up a multiverse--I really expect all that teasing about Spelljammer and Modrons to lead to something planar-related in the next year or so.)

Gaming is fun, and fun is for everyone
Sure, more non-FR adventures would be great! Not sure why this is so controversial; Curse of Strahd and Ghosts of Saltmarsh are both non-FR and are great (they aren't truly original however).

But yes, a Dragonlance adventure, an Eberron adventure, even one made for Ravnica/Theros would be great. Even Mystara I would enjoy. More diversity in the adventures would be a great development.

I'd settle for Professional editing, production and QC by WotC. The DMsGuild is still essentially a fan material forum or an unregulated Dungeon/Dragon magazine for freelancers without enough assignments.

Editing and polish are extremely important aspects of production and few DMG products have them at a professional level.

The OP said Forgotten Realms. Almost every post is reply has taken that to mean Sword Coast instead of FR in general.

Earlier in the thread I posted links to 3 well developed and backed non-FR worlds with extensive adventure support. Unless you insist on WoTC only (Adventurers' League ...), then there are a lot of other options.

There are excellent setting/adventures that are not 5e that are easily converted. I highly recommend Yoon Suin and UltraViolet Grassland (UVG).

Another good one is Zeitgeist: The Gears of Revolution which is an EN-world affiliated production. My understanding is that part of it has been converted to 5e already and should be complete by the time you are finished the adventure path.

I have been giving Zeitgeist the eye myself. Haven't committed yet. Too many games, not enough hours in the week.
