Change Eldritch Blast to only affect one target.

Lots of more interesting options open up once players don't feel pressurised into the one true playstyle that optimises white room DPR.
I don’t think that would particularly change the situation. Most warlocks I see don’t go for the full EB+Hex+AB thing, so much, and many don’t even use EB as anything but a backup, if at all.

Lotta people find warlocks fustrating in play
I don't know why. Yeah Eldritch Blast+Agonizing Blast may be seen as a boring "standard issue" Warlock combo, but ya get 9(10 with Eldritch Adept UA feat) to literally customize your Warlock for a bunch of stuff. Having a good default option for Combat ain't a super bad deal in my opinion. Especially if you don't auto choose Hexblade and it's super awesome ice cream dip And cantrips are supposed to be the "default weapon" for spell casters in 5E since being stuck with a crossbow and no spells was the dumbest thing, my humble opinion so that maybe just me on the topic, to happen to spell users in DND.

IME, Eldritch Blast isn’t what is frustrating about the Warlock. It’s having two spell slots per short rest until level 11, a small number of spells known, and only 1 pact boon getting ritual casting.

I think the issue with Warlocks for me is that the invocations for chain and tome are just not strong enough and useful to compete with blade and EB spamming (although I appreciate that non hexblade blade pacts need some help).

I liked some of the recent invocations in UA but I don't know why there is so much hesitation to let Tome pact Warlocks increase the amount of magic they know beyond cantrips and rituals.

I thoroughly enjoy my Tome pact shadow mage mind you, although I will probably have to multiclass with sorcerer to get the level of magic I really want.

I have a simple "fix" for Bards.

Take them to the local vet. No, not that kind of fix. I'm not a monster!

Just, you know, come back from the vet with no Bard, because as we all know,, all the Bards will be gone, because they are running free, at a farm upstate.

Then you won't have to worry about them and their lutes again.

Yeah that I can agree with. Cuz if I'm reading the spell slots thing right, that means I can pretty much cast two spells and that's it: I'm stuck with Invocations and EB until I can short rest. Which means I have all these spells but I gotta choose when to cast it those two bullets before having to short rest(reload) again.

I think Tome is good, especially with it's ability to gain Ritual Casting. Now Chain Pact I can agree upon. The UA feats for it are a nice improvement for it and help it a bit more. But I do feel that Tome-Blade(Hex)-Chain-Talisman is the best order of Strong to Weak.

I think WoTC is scared of letting Warlocks get more spells because they don't want it to be a Sorcerer without Metamagic, and certainly not a Wizard because Warlocks "took the short way out" by plugging in Patron DLC to gain their powers. So they can't be a Spontaneous caster because it's not in their blood. They can't be a Wizard because they cheated at gaining their power. And they can't go further beyond what they know because their Patron probably doesn't want the Student becoming the Master.
