D&D 5E The New D&D Book: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything!

The new D&D book has been revealed, and it is Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, "a magical mixture of rules options for the world's greatest roleplaying game." The 192-page book is due out November 17th, with standard and alternate covers, and contains more subclasses, spells, character options, group patrons, and rules. Oh, and psionics!

They tested the Psionic options for this book, so it's not odd that they put it here.

Everything they tested (apart from the Abhorrent Mind) was rejected. Which suggests to me the psionics in this book are not that close to the UA versions.

I’ve typically seen it called “book of everything” online.
How many new players to the game know what a Xanator is or how to spell it? Plus kids asking their parents for the new DND book for Christmas might be in for an unpleasant surprise.

I think you're reaching a little... and even if they don't know how to spell Xanathar, Tasha is much easier to spell...plus the book is Tasha's CAULDRON as opposed to Xanathar's GUIDE.

The 'of everything' clearly marks them as philosophically related, like Xanathar 1 and 2.

Mixed feelings on reprinting the Artificer in the book. If it gets new subclasses I can deal.

The Nerdarchy report of the press briefing says that yes, the Armorer made it in.

OK, I am extremely excited about the Lineage system: this sounds like exactly what the game needed.

It sounds like maybe Sidekick is now a full Class, with Warrior, Expert, and Spellcaster Subclasses, that's even viable as a PC.

It's not really odd, but it is interesting, because they kind of seem to have thrown absolutely everything they've been playtesting into this, so I guess either the next setting book is pretty far out, or they're not doing un-NDA'd playtesting of it at all. The latter would make sense if it was highly distinctive of course.
