WHAT WONDERFUL WITCHERY IS THIS?

A magical mixture of rules options for the world's greatest roleplaying game.

The wizard Tasha, whose great works include the spell Tasha’s hideous laughter, has gathered bits and bobs of precious lore during her illustrious career as an adventurer. Her enemies wouldn’t want these treasured secrets scattered across the multiverse, so in defiance, she has collected and codified these tidbits for the enrichment of all.
  • EXPANDED SUBCLASSES. Try out subclass options for every Dungeons & Dragons class, including the artificer, which appears in the book.
  • MORE CHARACTER OPTIONS. Delve into a collection of new class features and new feats, and customize your character’s origin using straightforward rules for modifying a character’s racial traits.
  • INTRODUCING GROUP PATRONS. Whether you're part of the same criminal syndicate or working for an ancient dragon, each group patron option comes with its own perks and types of assignments.
  • SPELLS, ARTIFACTS & MAGIC TATTOOS. Discover more spells, as well as magic tattoos, artifacts, and other magic items for your campaign.
  • EXPANDED RULES OPTIONS. Try out rules for sidekicks, supernatural environments, natural hazards, and parleying with monsters, and gain guidance on running a session zero.
  • A PLETHORA OF PUZZLES. Ready to be dropped into any D&D adventure, puzzles of varied difficulty await your adventurers, complete with traps and guidance on using the puzzles in a campaign.
Full of expanded content for players and Dungeon Masters alike, this book is a great addition to the Player's Handbook and the Dungeon Master’s Guide. Baked in you'll find more rule options for all the character classes in the Player's Handbook, including more subclass options. Thrown in for good measure is the artificer class, a master of magical invention. And this witch's brew wouldn't be complete without a dash of added artifacts, spellbook options, spells for both player characters and monsters, magical tattoos, group patrons, and other tasty goodies.

I'm a little surprised that they're using the word "Everything" in the title. Since it was already used in Xanathar's Guide, I'd have thought they'd want to make the title of this one more distinctive.
Yes, they could have come up with dozens of more interesting titles with just a little effort.
Kind of makes me wonder if this will be a series of books with player options throughout the edition, all using the word "everything" somewhere in the name.
So two years from now we'll be complaining about Iuz's Treasury of Everything? Larloch's Crypt of Everything?

I don't mind the naming convention, to be honest. 'X's Y of Everything' at least has a bit more character than 'the Complete A Handbook' or 'Heroes of B', and it can be less specialised and include a wider variety of content.

Azalin's Grimoire of Everything?
Hamanu's Arsenal of Everything?
Kalbari al-Durrat al-Amwaj ibn Jari, Great Padishah of the Marid, the Mother of Foam, the Maharajah of the Oceans, Mistress of Rivers's Seraglio of Everything?
Fizban's Forgotten Everything?

The fact that coming up with a different name is, indeed, trivial makes it fairly obvious that "of Everything" is intended to be a new naming convention for these types of books. I think most of the anecdotal evidence indicates that XGtE was extremely popular, so it makes sense that they'd want to telegraph that this new book is related to it.

I find it curious there seems to be pushback on a new mechanical system for parley, while the biggest complaints about psionics were when WotC was just making them like spells and not its own mechanical system. I guess that must be two different groups of people.

I don't see any pushback, just a subsystem I don't think I will personally use. For that matter I've never used psionics either and don't intend to start now. Doesn't mean there's any issue with other people wanting it or that I'm not going to buy the book.

I'd put my money on Beast of Water, to round out Beast of Land and Beast of Air. Especially since the bestial summon from the UA had land/air/water as the options.
It seems a bit specialised though. How many campaigns take place mostly in the water? Would a ranger really go for a companion that was only occasionally usable?

A beast for riding or a beast for picking pockets seem more generally useful.
