D&D 5E Ed Greenwood called Brightlance's Tome of Knighthood "A worthy addition to the Realms and D&D!" What do you think?

Ride to glory and heroism with the Forgotten Realm's newest character class: the Chivalric Knight!

Inspired by the stories of King Arthur and other brave knights, this unique character class represents the true heroic ideal of knighthood. Using brand-new rules for unique powers derived from their ideal, each knight is a deadly individual warrior, standing strong on the frontlines of any battle. As a chivalric knight gains ranks from completing their own knighly quests, they build their coat of arms and their heraldry, which creates player-chosen effects with their knightly equipment, granting incredible bonuses and skills. Build your own unique heraldry and gain in power while doing so!

You will also find the background for four amazing knightly orders, which can be used by players and DMs to bring their campaign worlds to life. Each chapter contains the history, the tactics, the backgrounds and the stat-blocks for each of these different knightly orders.

Check it out at the following link: BRIGHTLANCE'S TOME OF KNIGHTHOOD - Dungeon Masters Guild | Dungeon Masters Guild, and tell us what you think - we'd love to know!

I've checked out the full preview on drivethru. On the next page to the one previewed in the opening post of this thread it has the level chart for what i presume is the knight class because the heading for it is "Class Name". Maybe an extra editing pass?

Thank you - we've noted that, and another error. We've corrected them now! :) Do you have any thoughts about the character? The quality of the book? The idea of it?

It's a pretty big preview so i'll get back to you. I'll also note that there's no indication in the preview as to the page-count of the product. There's a page-less table of contents. What am i getting for my $22.99?

Good point - I've added the number of pages now

You get 116 pages of characters rules, heraldry powers, orders, history, NPC's and Character stat blocks & magical items - and the contents page is hyperlinked for your convenience :) (I'll consider adding page numbers in a later addition. Hyperlinks are more convenient but doesn't work on a preview).

It looks good from the 20-something page preview. Not sure how much I would use it for the price. I would more likely let a player who bought it play with it, maybe cool to have a whole party of knights.

FR does have a lot in common with this in the way of heraldry and such, especially the Kingdom of Cormyr.

I also noticed similarities to the Duty, Honor, Country speech of Gen. MacArthur.

I knew, and I said it, the cavalier had to be a base class, not only a subclass.

And now, you have a Chivalric version of it. We took inspiration from what was called "The English Style" in the Hundred Years War. The English knights were well-known for getting off their horses and fighting on foot, so we wanted to have a warrior who could do both. In addition, there's not much call for cavalry in a dungeon ...
