The androsphinx and gynosphinx most likely did it through magic. These ones, if not by magic, probably had their minions or slaves do it for them. Otherwise, the servants of those who employ them probably did. ;)
Their slaves TRIED to put it on the Crocosphinx. I still am unclear as to how they succeeeded.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the crocosphinx would have killed them trying as a normal crocodile would? Sphinxes can be savage and cruel, yes, but they aren't animal-like. They're quite intelligent, vain, and very narcissistic. If they want to have jewelry on, they'll have it done.

I think he was just being funny. Again, just want to say I am loving the art. When will this be available?

Ahh, my bad. That one embarrassingly flew over my head. Sorry about that, embee.
Dave2008, I'm trying to release by June/July 2021. That's barring any more art delays and unfortunately, artwork is already delayed a month. But I'm hoping we'll catch up. But if there's any delay, I promise it will be worth it. A lot of the creatures in MME3 will help address current gaps in the existing official bestiaries, and I haven't shown some of them yet.

Thank you for the follow up. Don't rush it, get the art right. We can wait (I think).

Between Expanded Monster Manuals and the three Kobold Press manuals, there couldn't be any better 5e monster books. Maybe until Level Up, but both of these series already majorly upgrade monster effectiveness and originality.

The Total Party Kill Bestiaries Vol 1. and 2 are pretty great, too, if you're trying to challenge PCs above 10th level. :)

Great previews! Really looking forward to the release of this 3rd installment now :)
The first two books were already helpful, though as I have most of the original 3rd/4th edition books, the art was mostly a non-factor for me. Seeing that this one has so much original art is an instant must-buy for me!
