D&D 5E 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Yes, canonically, it would work like that:

Sorcerer: "pwease, kill wizards for me because I can't take any of them out"
Sul: "I can't, moron, I am permanently incapacitated, bound by the Silver Flame in a dimensional space under Arcanix."
Sorcerer: "but I need help!!!1!"
Sul: "I could help you... it's easy, you just have to fulfill some steps of a prophecy. Don't worry about the wording about unmaking the material world, it's just a poor translation, just focus on the task I'll explain shortly, it will require your full attention for some time, try to concentrate for around 60 minutes"

Bel Shalor: "Seriously?"
Sul: "Seriously."
Bel Shalor: "You cast Planar Binding on him? That's so funny".
Katashka: "You win this round of the Overlord's Meeting "hilariously bad plan devised by mortals" prize.

You also forgot to address the dragons, pal, so unless the DM-Pwease machine also known as the Bastion can deal with them, he isn't a threat to any world, as the dragons wouldn't even alow it. Even if it could bind Sul, and it can't do so, no planar bound army can even begin to stand up against an entire continent of ancient spellcasting dragons.

Just so you are aware of how utterly stomped your Sorcerer is, or ANY PC would be. Countless numbers of ancient dragons, many of which are better spellcasters than the Bastion.

You compared Sul with Mewtwo. Well, then the Bastion would be like a trainer with Mewtwo and around 100 mid level pokemon, like Nidokings, against literally countless Rayquaza, Lugia, Giratina and however many ber-legendary pokemon you want. Not twice as many dragons as members of your planar bound army, not ten times as many. Countless.

You just can't win, pal.

Edit: And before you start to declare it takes countless dragons to defeat the Bastion, no, iy doesn't. It's just that the wyrms of Eberron don't fight, they annihilate. They would send ten times the force needed to destroy edgelord and his slaves, just to send a message to the rest of the world. You don't mess with balance, or get turned into dragon poop. Quite a fitting end to the Bastion, actually.

I ask you, why would Dragons care about Wizards?
Dragons are magical creatures, with innate power, like Sorcerers, they are much more like Sorcerers than Wizards. Well, nobody cares about fat Wizards with 8 Cha.

They'd care about any Overlord being fred. The sorcerers would just be a collateral damage of the destruction of Khorvaire.

Polymorph doesn't work like that you know? First, Traxigor is a 17th level Wizard polymorphed into an otter. Have you played or ran Descent in Avernus? Otters can't cast spells, you know?

If somehow Polymorph was deemed through "DM, pwease" able to polymorph into a 17th level wizard because wizards can polymorph into beasts, then you have proven that it's very effective to be a 17th level wizard, which kind of defeated the point of proving the claimed superiority of the sorcerer if his most powerful feature at level 20 is to become, temporarily, a 17th level wizard. That's another win for Team Foggy Bottom. Of which Traxigor probably was before he elected to become an otter.

Plus, such a transformation wouldn't be very useful since Polymorph states that "and it can't speak, cast spells" so... no you can't.
"Traxigor is a 17th level Wizard polymorphed into an otter."

I strongly disagree
Traxigor is a beast CR 12 with spellcasting. The Polymoprh turn you into a beast with CR equal or lower than your level.

"Plus, such a transformation wouldn't be very useful since Polymorph states that "and it can't speak, cast spells" so... no you can't."
I strongly disagree,

The creature is limited in the Actions it can perform by the Nature of its new form, and it can't speak, cast Spells, or take any other action that requires hands or Speech.

Traxigor can use hands and speech to cast spells. So, casting is avaiable for this new form.

Is it getting more and more difficult?

Wizards are weak, they are easily wiped out from the material plane.
Now, the hunt is on the multiverse. They are useless against Bastion, nothing they can do can help.
To date, all Wizards have been slaughtered and transformed into Stone Chickens.

Are you ready?

Yeah, what Galandris said. I also doubt strong, apex predators like the dragons would care about punny, tiny, soft, skinny, weakling sorcerer with 10 Str and without claws fangs or natural armor. Heck, many of those dragons themselves would have even higher Charisma than the Bastion, and definitely more Intelligence and Wisdom. Bastion is weaker, frailer, dumber and less charismatic than the dragons, they would care as little for him as for any wizard.

It's good now, are the Dragons on the side of the fat Wizards? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
This shows the fear of the poor Wizards.

It is very likely that the Lord of Dragons (Dragon Sorcerer) will make Wizards' lives even more difficult.

You're forgetting the one that rendered the sorcerer even more feeble-minded. An easy mistake to make, I suppose.
