Sounds probable, though the 5E DMG writeup links thenitem specifically to Krynn and the Moon Wizards.

I honestly haven't even looked at the artifacts in 5e, since I use them so very rarely. They may have merged the two to avoid confusion.

Edit: Looks like they did. In the past they were 8 or even 12 of them, depending on the edition and they were age category based.

The creating equipment makes white make a lot more sense then to me. Do you know if it was identified as a Frost Tongue or Frost Brand in the story?

I haven’t read the books, but according to the Forgotten Realms wiki it’s a +3 frostbrand scimitar with an adamantine hilt shaped like the head of a hunting cat, and a silver blade with a diamond edge. It also can apparently extinguish fire, and glows blue for a while after doing so.

It's interesting, the origins of this Set as a "Dungeons & Dragons themed Core Set" become more clear as I see more cards. Orb of Drsgonkind, from Dragonlance, Vecna, from Greyhawk. Lots of generic pulls from the PHB, New characters who are as much generic D&D as Forgotten Realms specifically....

Actually FR stole Dragon Orbs and Vecna long before this, but his appearance in FR I believe were pre Godhood.

Yeah, as much as this is marketed as a Forgotten Realms card set, it really is more "D&D 5E Card Set," essentially having a lot of 5E material but also pulling in popular stuff that features highly in the core rules.

In some ways, but not in others. Vecna isn't new to FR, but its always been more indirectly invovled, this could be a sign that he's getting more invovled. And FR already has Dragon Orbs.

If that yellow is gold, and this game is using gold as XP... that wizard is going to get some pretty great spells post-dragon fight!
