D&D 5E The October D&D Book is Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons

As revealed by Nerd Immersion by deciphering computer code from D&D Beyond!

Fizban the Fabulous is, of course, the accident-prone, befuddled alter-ego of Dragonlance’s god of good dragons, Paladine, the platinum dragon (Dragonlance’s version of Bahamut).

Which makes my guess earlier this year spot on!

UPDATE -- the book now has a description!

Looks like we may be getting reprinted Tiamat stats, and I assume stats for Bahamut and maybe even the Ruby Dragon God?

Also looks like we will get a lore drop on the "First World," which I assume will be the 5E version of the war with the Primordials.

So, it looks like we will get detailed Volo's style Lore dumps on the ten Classic Dragons and Gem Dragons...but who are the other 5 types of Dragon getting an indepth dump??

No mention of new Kobolds, they might not have passed muster.

A Complete Dragon Bestiary implies they are going to.try and include every Dragon and Dragon-adjacent creature possible.

The remaining five... hard to say. It's possible they use the templates here for lore dumps, including the Shadow Dragon, Dracolich, and maybe a few new ones like a zombie dragon or even vampire dragon.

Assuming it's planar dragons, and at least one is the chaos dragon, one wonders what the other four would be. Maybe one for each alignment extreme? (If so, betting on adamantine as the rep for "good".)

Of course, they could also do the chaos dragon and four other miscellaneous dragons... but a thematic grouping of five seems most likely.

Well, I'd say Faerie (or Mirage), then Chaos Dragon, Hellfire Wyrm (infernal), Axial dragon (lawful), Abyssal drakes, and Radiant dragons (Mt Celestia) are all pretty likely candidates.
