D&D 5E The October D&D Book is Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons

As revealed by Nerd Immersion by deciphering computer code from D&D Beyond!

Fizban the Fabulous is, of course, the accident-prone, befuddled alter-ego of Dragonlance’s god of good dragons, Paladine, the platinum dragon (Dragonlance’s version of Bahamut).

Which makes my guess earlier this year spot on!

UPDATE -- the book now has a description!

Maybe something like the Yawning Portal, but includes a number of classic settings for people to enjoy and adapt how they will?

You could have Nentil Vale, Mystara, Greyhawk, etc given a brief outline on the setting allowing the buyer to adapt how and what they will to make their own version of that setting.

Thus the Known Worlds supplements will come in handy to supplement the 5e briefing on the Mystara setting for instance.

That kind of book might be possible?
Interplanar crossover module. Bargle is up to his usual shenanigans, steals a mcguffin from someplace either in Sigil or from a location in Spelljammer. A helpful, friendly and likeable NPC goes around to Birthright, Greyhawk, Dark Sun, Mystara, and Dragonlance for some quick one on one introductory adventures before the PCs from across the multiverse have to stop the infamous wizard from getting away with his nefarious plot. Get to see each world at a different chapter, from the court drama of Birthright, the bleakness of Dark Sun, Dragonlance can have an epic fight with draconians, Greyhawk is gets the party sideways glances from the distrustful natives and then they can experience the cultural overload of Thyatis City before tracking Bargle back to Sigil for the ultimate showdown.

Where he then kills the NPC, snorts pixie dust off a drow matron's chest, and electric slides cackling through a getaway portal scot-free, just to make another generation of gamers hate him with a lingering passion. Because he's Bargle and that's what he does.

With a number as large as 20, that has to mean as specific as Red Dragon, Gold Dragon, etc.

If it includes Dragon Turtles apparently not.

So far it seems its

1. Dragon Turtles
2. Chromatic
3. Metallic
4. Gem
5. Stone? The video with Wyatt mentions Moonstone, but one of the Articles mentions Gleamstone Dragons, so they might be expanding the Moonstone Dragons to a whole family of Feywild Dragon species.

15 to 20 are ????

I don't think Elder Brain Dragons count as a type.

Well, there are 20 types getting Volo's style deep dives, but then a whole bestiary. I expect the Elder Brain Dragons will get a MM writeup in the Bestiary, not a deep dive ecology.

I think it’s at least 20 types of dragons. But the count will be five chromatic, five metallic, five gem, and five others. Of those five others we know turtle, moonstone, and elder brain.

I doubt the Elder Brain will be in the campaign Lore chapter, but just part of the bestiary.
