AFR JUST released in stores, like seriously just released yesterday, and already a new huge unexpected set is coming out on Arena, Jumpstart: Historic Horizons. A pile of Modern Horizons 1 & 2 & 31 new Arena cards are hitting Arena. Like how is anyone supposed to keep up with this?

With Money. We are not pretending MtG and wizards are out for anything else right?

I think it has been delayed to the end of August.

Give it time, i think prices will drop as stock increases.

In the end I got one gift bundle too. Turn's out my FLGS actually got some allocated to them. Final result:
Two sets of commons (three if we allow for Spanish cards) One full set of uncommons (Including two full sets of the circle of chromatic dragons, and a full cycle of uncommon characters -two with Spanish cards-). 54 rares, and half the mythics.

Highlights: Lolth (foil), Mordenkainen (extended art), Mincs (in both normal and showcase), The Tarrasque -in foil showcase-, two books of Exhalted deeds, the full cycle of rare lands, two of Icyngdeaths, two Iymrith, two telportation circles (one extended art), One Ebondeath, One xanathar, and at least one of each rare legendary, including two copies of our favorite Ranger ever. Oh and an Extended art Tiamat.

I'm thinking of using some of the surplus cards (and sacrifice the third set of commons) to make a pesant cube and put it for sale. Tiamat is also very tempting to sell. But I don't know.

Only the equivalent to about $300 in local currency. One set box, one draft box, one kit, one bundle, and one gift bundle. My LGS has very good prices when you pre-order. I said it over a year ago, this was going to let me poor and destitute. That is why I'm thinking of selling some of the cards to recoup.

I would love to help, as I said I was planing to sell about a third of the cards as a cube. But the postage to you would be insane. It is already high inside my country, shipping to Brazil... do you have Mercado Libre in Brazil?

Yes we have. But yeah, the shipping costs are crazy right now. I'm gonna build the cube slowly, but it is gonna happen one day

Did a prerelease with friends (as in we all bought prerelease kits and played them). My deck kinda sucked, but I did pull an extended art Old Gnawbones, which made the price of the kit. I actually got all extended art dragons, got 2 Blue and a White.

I'm not that convinced. Here in my country, the cheapest time to buy MTG is during the pre-order period. After that, you have to pay full price, then once the initial wave passes (which tends to be the last wave where product is widely available through official channels). you have to pay either the scalper prices or the non-distributor importer prices. And that is supposing that there is still enough interest for them to be in widespread circulation. Once prices drop/die down, the third party people who sell and distribute lose interest and move to the next thing. At that point your only option is to import directly, which isn't always cheap (and due to recent changes in the world and in the country's post system isn't always an option).

And we have both a border with the US and a free trade agreement. Further south, and I'm not even sure how they can even get product at all.

There were major delay in draft and setting boxes causing artificial product scarcity that has kept prices higher then one would expect for a set that is largely concidered on the weak side.

That being said according to Mark Rosewater the set is selling well enough he is optimistic that that will be more D&D Sets. Qoute below.

"The good news is the set seems to be doing well, and as I said last week, that makes me optimistic that one day we'll do another D&D Magic product, so having things players want that we weren't able to do in this set isn't such a horrible thing."

So far, on Arena I have all of the Commons, over 300 of the Uncommons, half the Rares and maybe a third of the Mythics. Haven't opened any packs yet, only have 83 built up.

O have two prerelease kits ready to go, along with four extra boosters my store slipped in as toppers: going to do some tabletop sealed with my wife when the infant is a little less newborn. Might buy the Commander decks, sidelong getting some Set Booaters and Theme Boosters for fun.
