D&D 5E Which MTG Setting would you want as an official D&D Setting (updated post-Strixhaven)?

Dominaria. It is MTG's oldest plane/setting/world and contains the richest collection of MTG lore, so there is a lot of material to work with and nit together into a product.

There are 2 Dominaria sets next year in the Fall, one set in the current times and the Brother's War, so it's possible early in 2023 we could get a Dominaria D&D Book.

The problem is anything Dominaria does, the Forgotten Realms does 10 to 200 times better, it really has no unique niche compared to the Forgotten Realms except the colour pie thing.

Well, I wouldn't say that it's so obvious FR is superior to Dominaria... a lot of folks are not keen on how FR seems to have every race, culture type, and even a wide range of time periods/technology all smooshed together in the same setting. Dominaria is also a kitchen sink in many ways, but it doesn't go quite as far as FR does.

That said, I think if Dominaria gets a book, it will be largely to appeal to a group of D&D/MTG players who have a large fondness for Dominaria, as opposed to anything else.

Yeah from a business perspective the popularity of Dominaria is reason enough to do it even if it's not a new niche compared to other settings.

Throne of Eldraine, Kaldheim, Streets of New Capenna, Kamigawa(+Neon Dynasty).

We haven't seen Streets of Capenna yet, it could have guns or some magical fantasy substitute instead, we don't know yet. I'm not sure if it will be so easy to convert to D&D 5e, although it's a very unique niche of a setting, demonic mobsters.

Eldraine/Lorwyn hybrid- Fairytale Knights in Castles is core fantasy, yet a true faux medieval setting is something D&D has been missing for a while

True but Capenna won me over, as a concept idea, since its basically Magic and Mobsters basically.

Plus playing as an Assimar in it, while probably being full on trope territory, would be quite interesting. Especially if said Demon Mob put a hit out on ya.
