Could I jump in at s2? I hear it's not as slow as s1?
You could ... but S2 is much more meaningful because you understand the characters from S1.
Without that grounding and understanding, it's not going to have the same payout.

Eh, I'll give it a miss then. Thank for the warning! You could ... but S2 is much more meaningful because you understand the characters from S1.

Finished season 2 last night. The last two episodes were excellent. Really tense and emotional. Lots of loose ends for season 3.
Series have bibles on how they should unfold over time. Moore didn't write all the episodes. Judging from the overall quality I'm sure the quality will be the same.Yeah, well ... unfortunately they lost their showrunner/co-creator. So I am hopeful, but also trepidatious.
Word is that Moore will still be involved (may do some writing) while trying to design the DISNEY EXTENDED THEME PARK TV UNIVERSE (I can't wait to see the Enchanted Tiki Room Drama Series starring Steve Buscemi .....), but I think there is enough quality on the staff to overcome his departure.

Sure. I'm just trying to stay positive!Um, sure. Series do have bibles. But ... you really don't think that the showrunner makes a difference? Like, at all?
Okay, then.
Dan Harmon and Community.
Bryan Fuller and American Gods.
Aaron Sorkin and West Wing.
I really hope for the best (and think it will probably be okay). But a change in showrunners is sometimes not a good thing. And Moore has a good track record- that's why he was poached.
