You could ... but S2 is much more meaningful because you understand the characters from S1.

That's fair. I got into Season 1 because I really, really, really like the history of the space race. But even so, there were some really curious decisions that I just didn't understand - without giving anything away, there's a subplot involving immigration that never really ties into the entire season, really. It just kind of sits there. And it only "pays off" in Season 2. But even for me, who genuinely enjoyed Season 1, there were a few times when I was like, "Wait, why are we going over this?"

Finished season 2 last night. The last two episodes were excellent. Really tense and emotional. Lots of loose ends for season 3.

Yeah, well ... unfortunately they lost their showrunner/co-creator. So I am hopeful, but also trepidatious.

Word is that Moore will still be involved (may do some writing) while trying to design the DISNEY EXTENDED THEME PARK TV UNIVERSE (I can't wait to see the Enchanted Tiki Room Drama Series starring Steve Buscemi .....), but I think there is enough quality on the staff to overcome his departure.

This show has always been very good, but this season is incredible.
