D&D 5E Playing through a Sample Stat Draft (COMPLETED!)

I'm last this run, there is one who could foil my plans... (I mean, yeah, it's not any great mystery or anything.)

But, it would be interesting to see how close people got to the set they were looking for. There was only one attribute that I didn't get the value I expected, and then only by a point. It does seem a pretty fair method, and el-remmen seems to be depending on the +2/+1 bonus for us to get the "high" attribute that we would want.

Oh, right. I was looking at the wrong list of our usernames 😅

I didn’t go in with a real specific plan, but I’m quite happy with 8-10 Strength, 18 Dex, and 12 everything else for a backup character. Now that I’ve got a round under my belt I’m going to try for that druid in round 2.

Ok, so Str 12, Dex 11, Con 14, Cha 15, Wld(becomes Wis) 11, Int 11. PHB only makes this tough; a Hexblade dip would have opened up a few more paths.

Right now, I'm leaning towards half-elf draconic sorcerer; I can get Dex 12 and will have mediocre starting AC instead of a catastrophic one. The other option with 4 odd scores would be standard human(!). Str 13 lets me MC into paladin, so I could start paladin and get some armor off the bat, and then branch into sorcerer or bard or stay paladin depending on how the game goes (maybe my prayers for gauntlets of ogre power will be answered!)

STR 8
DEX 13+1=14
CON (wld) 11+1=12
INT 15
WIS 11+1=12
CHA 9

With floating ASI, I think this makes Conny the Hill Dwarf rogue with the sage (librarian) background quite serviceable for adventuring. Probably aiming for Arcane Trickster, but maybe Thief, at 3rd level.
