You have been asked by WotC to pitch the concept for their next big adventure.

What is it?

What is the genre? What are the main villains? What levels will it be?

Feel free to suggest ideas you think would be successful, or ideas that just match your own personal preferences!

I'd love a proper hub style story, where you start out with some central location, have it start off as a real fixer-upper. As the PCs complete tasks, they unlock features and resources.

That's my favorite style of campaign to design and run. I did a real fun d20 magical western in that style!

Yeah. really lay it out. Like, have a blacksmith. He needs supplies that have been stolen by bandits. If the bandits are defeated, supply lines get opened up and besides an initial reward to the PCs, going forward, new goods are available.

I'd write a new Athasian / Dark Sun path just so that I could finally introduce rules for Psionics. It would essentially be an alternative history starting with the Freedom module - but with the coupe a failure.

Something big set in the Astral Sea where we can moosh together Planescape and Spelljammer into the Planejammer setting it always should have been.

A seafaring adventure that pivots into sky pirates around level 6-8, and then pivots into Spelljammer-esque interplanetary/interplanar adventures around level 10-12.

Each of these pivot points is a major sub-adventure in a dungeon or city, breaking up the sailing sections so they don't become repetitive.

Sigil has become a mooring for spelljammers. But why? Where is the lady of pain? Is this still neutral ground? Everyone’s on edge and the flood of people arriving and escaping adds to the tension.

A powder keg that just needs adventurers to set it off.
