Level Up (A5E) Battle Hymn - How does it work?

So trying to wrap my head around this one.

"...It continues until they choose to end it or lose concentration (as if it were a spell), or if activated during a combat whenever the combat ends. For the duration, at the start of each of their turns..."

So, according to that text from the pregen bard sheet, the effect is continuous throughout the entire combat? every round i can gain it's benefit without spending another bardic inspiration?
Is this correct?
Reading the text from the book itself it seems to me like it only lasts for one round (and can be sustained as long as it hasn't been used).

That was my initial take on it, but it seems it may have been changed in the updated book. I could be wrong, but I noticed a few changes already between book versions. Though keep in mind the book isn't in print yet so changes may continue.

It was deemed to powerful and they were changed to just lasting one round.

If you are the gm you could easily made a magic item that extends the duration of any hymns you feel are too short for your player too
