I think pizza toppings isn't actually an argument, just a cultural way here of derailing a thread.
That sounds like an unwise financial choice, such that not getting the show is not really the important problem.

I mean... it's hardly just outside the D&D fandom. IIRC, currently on this very site there's a mess of contentiousness surrounding very low-level, low-magic play. Someone around here has even complained that a whole 10% of the game is "wasted" on levels 1 and 2, and that campaigns without magic shops are somehow anathema to enjoyable gaming.
