Yes sir. Do the cards with low- to medium production quality picture of the creature on the front, basic 5e style stat block on the back, and WotC should get lots of praise from the owners and shareholders while simultaneously appeal to young new customers and cross market Magic folks. The stat blocks should fit easily with only a symbolic attack - that are very seldom used - per creature.
And of course the cards are offered in a digital variant too, via a 5-tiered subscription service.

I wonder about WotC sellings a mixture of physical products and digital files, for example a miniature and/or cards with a NFC microchip. The physical product can be bought by collectors, keeping the economic value, and the digital file could be a PDF/ebook, or skins for videogame characters.

They've stated the new format will not be digital.

I doubt they are going to go there. The D&D Cartoon is thoroughly in Grognard Territory. They are no longer the target audience for D&D.

Fair Enough. I just pray this doesn't happen. I don't like chibi art I can't immerse myself in a story with it.

So, maybe the new format isn't in the delivery method, but everything being in chibi format?
