Oh. Also, I think somebody needs to create a licensed Carpenter Brut RPG that does for dark synth in RPG spaces what Mork Borg did for black metal in RPG spaces.

It's going to use the same Essence20 system that their GI Joe and Power Rangers games use. I'm looking forward to trying it out myself.

Not actually heard of that system, so thanks for mentioning it so I could look it up. Unfortunately, the company doesn't deliver to NZ, and while it looks like I might be able to get it here from an NZ online store, the cost was a little crazy. Hopefully my local game store will get it here at a more reasonable price.

Rock Band.

Hear me out. The idea of playing a traveling band, playing bigger and bigger gigs, having to deal with rivals and corrupt agents... Could be a lot of fun! Somehow you would need to find a way to incorporate actual music into the game. Maybe a simple sound-mixing app that players can use to add premade tracks in order to create new songs?

You could add elements to make it more fantastical (like Scott Pilgrim vs the World), go full fantasy (Ye Olde Rocke Bande), head into the future (Cyberpunk Rock Band, aka Daft Punk), or just play it straight.

Several of us were talking about that kind of game a few years ago.

Heavy Metal RPG anyone?

I think it would be pretty cool if there would be an RPG based on the Heavy Metal magazine. It could be a multi-genre RPG kinda like Rifts, incorporating elements from fantasy, sci-fi, horror, etc. For a bonus, people like Boris Vallejo and Luis Royo can do the artwork for it. I'm pretty sure...
