What IP would you like to see as an RPG?

Digimon could be fun, especially the Adventure mold of the first season where there is just as much a focus on surviving in the Digital World as there is in fighting the various monsters.

the game would probably need solid rules about overcoming personal shortcomings and a solid bestiary of Digimon and their evolutions that would then be available as both opponents and companions.

Using Awfully Cherrful Engine?
NO!
ACE is amusing to me as a read, but to be blunt, there's not enough there for my mechanical tastes. To be honest, my preference would be for it to be Free League's YZE. Failing that, MGT2, 2d20, or d6 system. I could do it as is under d6 Space, but that lacks the canonicity.
I don't dislike STA, but it really isn't my favorite approach to attributes/skills/careers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Free League snatched up the license for this before the release of the next film(s).
One can hope. Mad Max with Free League's touch could be great. I'll add Waterworld to the list (a movie in need of a sequel).
Darkest Dungeon (video game, soon to be board game)
That game screams TTRPG and old-school. The atmosphere of corruption was an inspiration for my last Call of Cthulhu game.

Godzilla. You play as agents of a mysterious organization plumbing old facilities in search of lost monsters and weapons (maybe MONARCH).

"No one has been in this facility since the 80s!" The team archivist says, excited.

The massive steel shutter doors open, creaking and groaning, and the team leader gestures for everyone to be cautious. Lights begin to slowly switch on, and there, locked into place by gantries, is a huge metallic dragon, it's armored hide made from a titanium alloy made under zero-g conditions.

"My God...it's the first Mechagodzilla! But I thought it was destroyed..."

At least, for 75% of the game. The rest of the game, you get to play as your very own custom monster, for when the team awakens some horrible calamity upon the world!
