Not true. They censored me by 1. giving me a totally unfair warning, 2. denying me the ability to post additional reactions in that thread, and 3. the mod note reaction in red and the false notification at my post for everyone to see.
Please (a) review the rules about challenging moderation and (b) do not post again in this thread.

Who's stance? Or are you avoiding identifying who because then you might be in violation of forum rules about attacking individuals rather than discussing the topic?
Flamestrike. He might have you on block (or vice versa) f you can't see his quote in my post.

How on earth am I being 'petulant or repugnant' to suggest someone direct angst at Turkey (a country that literally prejudices and persecutes LGBTI people) instead of WOTC (a company that is openly promoting LGBTI issues) here?
I think the Turkish citizen with LGBT+ friends and family (Ondath) has a better understanding of Turkey's stance on LGBT+ matters than you. The fact that they have repeatedly explained the situation in Turkey and has given their lived experience, yet people that don't live there are trying to act like experts on the situation that they've only read about.

WOTC markets this to Turkey.

Next thing the conservative Islamsists in Turkey get wind of Hasbro marketing LGBTI material to kids. Uproar ensues.

Ergodan leans into the 'public morality' laws to prosecute Hasbro and crack down harder on LGBTI people than he already is.

Who wins here?

LGBT+ rights are not solidified enough in the US that this slippery slope couldn't happen, to some extent, here. Just replace Islamists with another major monotheistic religion, Ergodan with DeSantis or another nutter, and other details as you wish.

Oh I agree, but surely the fault in those cases rests on the States with those laws (with the negative stances on LGBTI issues), and not with the companies (who are actively trying to do something positive).

There is only so much you can do as a company. Companies hold a lot of economic clout, but it's nothing compared to the legal and economic (and military) clout of nations.

Turkey (at a minimum) could simply ban Hasbro products from sale in the country as 'LGBTI propaganda' under their morality laws (or simply make new laws). They certainly have form on this (banning LGBTI parades on 'moral' grounds, and banning LGBTI support groups and agencies for the same).

Even though Turkey does not have a specific bans on 'LGBTI propaganda' they do have 'offences against public morality' laws that could be used here (or attempted to be used) and that have already been used as justification to prohibit LGBTI marches and entities.

Hasbro doesnt want to poke that bear, and I can understand why.

Slippery slopes to defend a corporation. Neat.

What do you want Hasbro to do? They're a toy company at odds with a Nation State, with a strong conservative Religious majority.

You should be pointing the finger at (your choice of) the Religion, and/or the State (the culprits here) and not the Company.

If Turkey were not dicks about this, there would be no issues. That's the reality here. Hasbro's caution in Turkey only exists because of Turkeys actions and stance.
