D&D 5E Speculation thread! Vecna? Giants UA?

This is from the MM and sounds like the First World to me.

"Giants are almost as old as dragons, which were still young when the giants' heavy feet first shook the foundations of the world. As they spread across new lands, giants and dragons fought bitter generational wars that nearly brought both sides low."
The First World is just another take at the assumed miltiverse Setting from the start of 5E, in an attempt to make it more relevant to different worlds.

It's also steeped in the trope of the Origin Myth. It can be taken at face value; dismissed entirely as just a story made up generations after the fact; or somewhere in between, where the story has some kernel or kernels of truth, but exactly what is true is up for debate. Which means everyone can take what they want from it, at whichever level of "truth" they want...

The ultimate DM tool.

@Demetrios1453 and @Parmandur I agree with you both. My point is that if WotC is going to push the first world origin thing as a possibility, it could indeed show up in a giant themed book, as that paragraph from the MM would seem to indicate that they were there as well. Or it might all be bunk and the First World never existed. :)

Or maybe theybhabe their own not-quite compatible myth...

VGR covers undead pretty well. Better than MToF covered gith.

Really, its monster types that are currently underrepresented or uninteresting to battle who can benefit from a monster book. Hence giants. Other candidates might be celestials and fae.
The Feywild could really use some love and attention. I.bring up the Undead because, well...Vecna, amd Volo's did so as well.
