Here's my pitch:

Ding! (elevator doors close)

Mr. Elminster, sir, if I could have a moment of your time... D&D + WhatsApp!

WotC should create a phone app that combines texting with everything else you need for D&D: dice rolling, character sheets, linking to digital resources and Dndbeyond... Imagine the ability to play D&D all day, every day- during boring meetings at work, on the train, while bingeing Stranger Things. Check in throughout the day to fight battles, interact with NPCs, and chat with your group. Rather than banishing phones from the D&D table, we banish the D&D table... into the phone!

HBO has Game of Thrones.
Amazon has Tol-keen.
Netflix has people trying to figure out if things are cakes ... or NOT!
Paramount is all in on the Greater Beavis & Butthead Expanded Universe (they also have some sort of Star Trek stuff).

AppleTV? They have quality. And a LOT of money. You want to develop a D&D TV universe? Go to Apple. They'll make it big. And spend money.

I was recently inundated with Facebook ads for soap that smells like wood smoke, gunpowder and whiskey, and I thought "Why would I want that?" and "Couldn't I just drink whiskey at a campire then shoot the empty bottle?" But then I realized that there were things I could not do in real life. What about soap that smells like a goblin warren, blood and healing potions?
