How Often Do You Lose Interest in Pre-Orders/KS By the Time They Arrive?

I burned out on 7th Sea 2nd Edition.
After the PDF of the Core rules came out, I lost interest in the game. Totally not my jam. Haven't read any of the updates, new book releases or anything.
I bought it solely for the 1E collection...
I can't even read 2E, save by copying the text out, then pasting in a text file.

I gather they made some kind of fundamental graphic error? Its not an unknown thing. I'm very, very glad that when I bought the Star Trek Adventures BoH that it included the print-ready version of the PDF, because the one that apparently mimics the book is basically unreadable because of the choice of text and background color.

Cursive font, small point size. And not a terribly legible cursive font. So even a printer-ready version is still unreadable for those with issues reading cursive.

That'll do it. I really wonder sometimes about RPG publishers who don't actually think about physical readability of product.

My vision seems to be getting worse all the time, and it's already time for a new prescription.
I wonder if it's too soon to start requesting large type books from the major publishers?
(I'm only partly joking. I have a friend who works with technology for visual accessibility. It's long been a passion of his - even recording audiobooks of D&D rulebooks in the past. It's a service many could use.)

There's only one special case where its liable to get better. :) I'm just fortunate that my long distance vision has been pretty stable over my life after my right eye got a bit off from the other in my 30's, but I can only modestly say that about near vision.

I wonder if it's too soon to start requesting large type books from the major publishers?

Unfortunately, probably. I doubt there's enough market to warrant it.
