D&D 5E Being strong and skilled is a magic of its own or, how I learned to stop worrying and love anime fightin' magic

The stories Conan, Fafhrd, Mouser, Cugel, Croaker, Brienne, etc... were the protagonists of weren't fantasy?
At the very least, Conan (the only one I actually know) got to do cool things and demonstrate feats of strength that are too 'cartoony' to be in D&D apparently. I'm sure those other guys also got to do things too without people being mad that they didn't need a glowy thing to make it happen.

What did Conan do that was a cartoony feat of strength?

(Lankhmar, Dying Earth, Black Company, and Game of Thrones for the others).

I at least am trying to make the game more fun and interesting.

Taking things away from other and then still not giving anything to the ones that need it doesn't achieve that goal.
What percent of games stop by level 10 or 12?

If a huge percent, then we aren't taking much away, and can use the saved space to put a lot more classes, archetypes, and races in the book. (Saved pages on spells enough for a Warlord, Gish, and Psion?).

All low fantasy.

So not the thing D&D typically does.
Dying Earth gave us a bunch of the spells in D&D, including one of the 9th level ones.

Feels like a lot of them would fit in some of the level 10 and lower Dungeons. Fafhrd and Mouser trying to go through B1?

I guess the big thing for most of the ones I gave is they're human dominated settings. Power level doesn't seem far from the Aragorn and Legalos or whatnot though.
