First the obvious caveat: by D&D movie, I do not mean official D&D movie. I mean which movie is the best that captures the D&D feel. If someone asks you, "What movie would you recommend to tell me what D&D is, which is it?" I highly suspect that a non-official D&D movie will win

Disclaimer: I fully realize that there might be a movie I'm missing. I've got to keep the list somewhat manageable. This is why anime movies are excluded as well. Live action only. For similar movies part of a trilogy (like LoTR or even the 1970s Harryhausen Sinbad movies), they are one entry. The only difference is for movies that are presented very differently, like Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer. Both have Arnold, but they are much different in presentation. Parodies are also out, like the Gamers. As are series (like Witcher).
