D&D General DND cartoon reboot on the way?

If there is a reboot, maybe there is a different group of DM's pupils each season, and let's rebember now we are in the internet age. Maybe Hasbro could produce some short animations for youtube.

And haven't you stopped to think about the idea this time the DM's pupils wouldn't be from our reality, but a fictional world with advanced technology? This would allow no-humans (dragonborns, gnomes, ardlings, aasimars) in the group.

A Title Much Cooler Than Anything on the Old Site
I watched it as a kid during the original run. I didn't watch every episode of every season. I haven't seen it since. I don't remember it being horrible, but I thought the tone was too light from what I recall. I hope that if they do reboot it they re-imagine the characters, make it more serious and mature and not just play on the nostalgia of the generation who originally watched it.
We are getting a D&D Movie, we have Critical Role for an adult D&D cartoon.

I would rather they make an animated D&D series for kids, that feels like D&D, but has a tone appropriate for kids. If done right, it should still scratch the nolstalgia itch for old children of the 80s, but please don't make it a more "mature" remake. Make a good D&D series that appeals to young kids.

I dont have kids so I wouldnt know, but do young kids even watch cartoons anymore? Would this even interest kids these days?

I think so. There seem to be tons of children's cartoons on various streaming services. I don't even mean kid-friendly where the more mature bits go right over children's heads, but actually made for little kids. I would imagine a D&D cartoon would be more kid-friendly than actually for kids, though, simply because there's too violence in D&D.

Knowing how Hasbro do their toylines, I honestly doubt we're getting a reboot of the cartoon

This is just standard nostalgia fishing. We got the same thing over in Transformers. Every 3 years you get a new Megatron and Optimus Prime, or some obscure character who hasn't shown up in decades (these are the ones I'm most excited for)
