D&D 5E What is your favorite part of playing D&D?

I'm sure this has been done a bazillion times, but...as the title says. If you had to pick, say, up to three?

Making choices. Character build choices, tactical choices, moral dilemmas, sacrifices, all of it. I like imagining myself as someone else and/or in a different situation and making choices as I imagine I or that person would in that situation.

Tried to edit "demonstrate superiority" because it's kinda worded in a way that comes across as childish? Ended up adding an alternative version. Maybe should add a making choices option as well, since it seems that more than one individual favors that

I picked "other", as I only run games and don't play, and all the other options are player options - I have no player options as the DM, as I never play DMPCs. I played the first 20 years of my gaming, and have run games in the next 20 years. I've tried a one-off as a player a couple times since, but after running a dozen NPCs, monsters, adjudicating rules, while setting the scene and telling the story for so long, running one PC, I find to be incredibly boring for me, and I cannot do it anymore.

Yeah, I tried to include a couple DM-appropriate options, but...I've got to admit that my inspiration for creating the poll is because I'm going to running an open-table homebrew game at my FLGS. And I kinda wanted to get a sense of what to focus on for the adventures I'm writing. Seeing as how the ENWORLD community and random players who may show up at my FLGS will have totally identical tastes and all
