This epic war story begins with an invitation to a friend's funeral and three optional prelude encounters that guide you into the world of Krynn. Amy Dallen is joined by Eugenio Vargas to share some details about how these opening preludes work and some advice on using them in your own D&D games.

There is also information on the three short 'prelude' adventures which introduce players to the world of Krynn:
  • Eye in the Sky -- ideal for sorcerers, warlocks, wizards, or others seeking to become members of the Mages of High Sorcery.
  • Broken Silence -- ideal for clerics, druids, paladins, and other characters with god-given powers.
  • Scales of War -- ideal for any character and reveals the mysterious draconians.
The article discusses Session Zero for the campaign and outlines what to expect in a Dragonlance game -- war, death, refugees, and so on.

Yes, so whats the point of calling it something it would no longer be?

Couldnt be for cheap nostalgia...no no...
again, I liked Dragonlance, but not every single part (I called out racists ableist things even in the 90s and I have always hated the kender for a game) some things just didn't age with the game (we don't use alignment like that anymore) so some minor tweeks and it will make Dragonlance Reimagined better (IMO).

You disagree with the changes I want, and I disagree with you. Nither is right or wrong but come next week one of us has to put up with the setting (my bet is neither gets everything and we have to both decide if enough of what we want is there to make it worth buying)

it IS a new world. Just like Marvel 616 and Marvel 1610... even though both are marvel earth.

I know you don't WANT it to be reimagined, but don't pretend you don't understand it is.

It is not a new world, its from the early 80s, and the whole retcon/multiverse clown fiesta that is comics.. well I would love it if that garbage never touched a setting I cared about.

good, it isn't touching the 80's setting at all it is reimagining it. Just like a new version of a movie doesn't take the version you like away...

Then it enters into the joke of multiple versions, as I noted, I find that even worse than leaving it as it was.

EDIT: Either way, we both know there is no agreement to be had here beyond a 'typical' type alignment rider, but you want changes, I think changes will simply ruin what exists, and there is no way we agree. Sorry for wasting your time, its a pointless circle. :)

too bad, I'm sorry that you getting to keep yours AND new players getting there own reimagined one hurts you. However (again) we can't make both groups happy and if it is going one way I will keep pushing for mine.

edit: and also don't pretend not to understand what the word reimagine means
